I pulled my plugs at 47,000 miles and would like any opinions on how they look? Good, bad, in-between

Hard to tell, maybe a better pic of the firing end.

Based on the two angles, I don't think they needed to be replaced. Look pretty healthy to me. But they're not that expensive and it's at least some piece of mind.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. I was thinking it might be early to replace them, but it definitely provides some peace of mind. Maybe I wait a little longer next time.

I'd agree with this. I replaced mine at 40 because... why not?

You all know that spark plugs have to last 100,000 miles by the EPA or the car manufacture is penalized?

I stopped worrying or fooling with these things on my 1988 Ranger when I read the manual and in order to replace the distributor cap or even take it off we had to put it back on the computer to make sure it was working properly.

They look pretty good. Questions:
What are the gaps and are they consistent for each plug?
What gas brand and octane do you use?
What is your average mileage?
Are your trips mostly stop-n-go or freeway?
How long did it take you to put on 47 K?
You drive it year-round in MI?

Thanks!

Not sure of the gaps, I didn't check them.
Shell V Power at least once per month, Kroger gas for other fillups. Always 93 octane.
23 and change, more freeway than not, but not by much.
Got it in October of 2021, just over 47k now.
Yep, drive it year round.

This may have been an early plug change, but I think we all learned a little by your posting of the used plugs. I actually had them changed at 60k, probably didn't need to, but my wallet felt a better throttle response! I feel very comfortable going at least to 120k for the next change, maybe longer.
