A throttle reset does wonders too.
Link to procedure
OK, after reading the reset procedure I went ahead and tried it. Note, I have owned Truck since new and now have approaching 30,000 miles. Never thought about it, but took it out for a run after reading posts, and I did notice a slight hesitation when hitting the go pedal.... like having to press down a bit, maybe an inch or so before it responded. It has apparently been like that since new, so I never thought about it.
Did the reset as posted, and there was a definite improvement...no lag.....went "GO" from the moment the go pedal was pressed. Butt Dyno was activated and it registered a definite improvement !!!
Hay, it was free, doesn't hurt anything, and for me and Truck, it worked !!!

At least I know what that occasional clunk is now.
Time to try out the extended warranty.
Short version: Extended warranty will cover the spring replacement.
Dropped it off this morning and got a call around 4:30 that since the issue wasn't caused by corrosion, it would be covered. Now to wait for the spring to come in, was told it could be a couple days or a few months.
Not crazy that they will only replace the broken one but will see how level it sits afterwards. I asked the service adviser to have the transmission fluid level checked and told him about the slow shift into gear and hard 3-4 shifts when cold. Gave him the TSB number and he said he didn't see one when looking it up. He is supposed to call in the morning and let me know on the transmission fluid level and when I can pick it up. I'll print the TSB and take it in when I drop it off for the spring replacement.

Friday yet?

This kind of ? ? makes me crazy :curse:with manufacturers. Replace both and chalk it up to charity since you can’t seem to simply do the right thing. Sadly it’s not just Ford. It’s every flipping manufacturer.

This was just an FYI..I did not mean to offend..I know they work !
I might have jumped the gun. This forum has fallen to the 'if I don't like it, it can't be right' mentality lately and I've reached my limit on some discussions. That's partly on me, I guess. I might have jumped the gun on this one.

It weird how it makes such a difference in the perceived feel, right?!

I did the pedal reset today and it made a noticeable difference even with the pedal commander. I actually had to adjust my settings because of it.
Glad it worked for you!

Unless you've recently been to Taco Bell.

No, it dosen't....what gets messed up is the asshole, not the butt. Among other important aspects of the butt, very important is that it serves as protection for the asshole. It is the asshole that has to deal with Taco Bell.

Also the porcelain throne has to deal with Taco Bell. Possible any family members who may travel near or even into the vicinity of the restroom after Taco Bell’s final moments in the swirling waters.?

The difference is literally night and day.

Extremely sharp cutoff and so much brighter/clearer than the XLT halogens.

The Anzos.

I always said that if I ever bought LED headlights that I'd get the Morimotos.

LED headlights were not really a concern for me since I rarely drive my truck at night, but then the Anzos showed up on a Black Friday sale for like $400 so I decided I'd give them a try.

Very pleased with them.

Well that was quick.. ? only took 3 mins
IMG_1273.jpeg

I did a video but it’s too large to upload ?..
In summary: engine goes vrooom and then the thingy goes whoosh ? ?

also took it to the dealer to get a transmission fluid change, engine oil/filter change, and cabin filter.

and (not relevant to what I did to my ranger today?.) ordered the ford performance rear differential cover (the one with a drain plug.)… 7-10 days for it to arrive.
