High Milage 2019 Ford Ranger

I just stumbled across this 2019 Ford Ranger for sale on Marketplace with 237,331 miles on it. Nice to see a Ranger with that kind of mileage still rolling down the road.

That doesn't sound too bad considering some used 2021 are listed for over $30k. Seems like most 2019 models are over $20k too. I guess that is the benefit of the 6g Ranger being more expensive.

If I wanted a project 4WD Ranger it would sound good as long as it had the rear locker. It would be easy to sink another fifteen grand into it.

"Yes, the truck has higher miles, and it's priced for the mileage." I am not sure what a highly used Ranger goes for, but I know during COVID I was offered $39K for my 2019 Ranger, of course mine is low milage.

It sounds like Ford is buying this truck to dissect the engine and transmission. Reportedly they are puzzled how it could go that many miles with the gas in the oil and the transmission not blowing apart.

I just ticked over 100k...one transmission, watery sparkplug and one set of blend door actuators for the HVAC.

My worry is that now the Geico mechanical breakdown is done at 100k...wondering if I scramble to find another or just deal with it.
