HPFP is under the hood near the back of the block.
Yep, back of block. It blew off from not being totally tightened down from tear down from the head gasket. But what a mess, still have oil dripping from unknown areas.

Help me out...what is HPFP?
High pressure fuel pump. The thing that makes all the noise under your hood on cold starts, the ticking noise.

Lol...I though it's the injectors making all the noise...there's only one pump and four injectors right?

Wait...there's two HPFP? I'm confused....
The tank isn't a HPFP, sorry, it's a low pressure to get from the tank to the engine.

Went from 18mpg to 21mpg.
Apart from brake line installed incorrectly & losing my brakes, all good.

High Pressure Fuel Pump.

Driven by the cam on the rear of the engine.

This is definitely what was causing the fuel in oil issue on my truck.

Dealer replaced mine at ~4k miles and my oil level has remained steady ever since.

I am at 79k. Zero issues other than a dead alternator last year on the High Watermark Trail. Doing the trail again in a few weeks with a spare alternator and belts. Woo!
