I just want to update this post if anyone comes across it. I figured why not try some compressed air in the lock. I should have started with compressed air from the very start. A few seconds of compressed air and the key slid right in! I'll chalk it up to something learned and now back in business!

Ouch! That's no fun. The truck just hit 13K miles. I hope the lock isn't falling apart already!

I don't have AAA but good to know that's an option. Thanks for the suggestion on the door and possibly a stuck pin. I'll have to give that a try.

Strange, I figured someone else would have encountered this issue before. I'm also guessing everyone uses their fob and wouldn't ever have this issue. Ha!

The truck was purchased new but the truck was speced by someone else where the sale fell through at the dealer. I guess I didn't realize other Rangers didn't have a passenger lock on the passenger side.

It locks and unlocks internally but the key doesn't insert all the way into the lock to open/lock it.

No key fob. Purchased brand new. It was custom ordered but the purchase fell through with the person who speced it.

I was able to use a wire the length of the key but not the key itself.

I had no issue yesterday inserting the key into the driver's door to unlock the truck but all of a sudden today it jams part way through. I have no issues using the key on the passenger side door to lock/unlock it but I can only insert the key partiality in the driver's side before it stops...
