Can these be bought? Thought they were more of a weld in place thing.

Interior, like inside the cabin? Talk about headache rack.

Yeah inside the cab. I don’t need one for the bed. I don’t plan to properly Baja the truck.

I’ve built a couple full cages in race cars. They’re not something you want in a road vehicle, you’ll end up ripping out most of the interior, cutting up the dash, as well as having to climb over the door bars to get in and out. Will be issues with airbags, seatbelts etc. also. Just some things to consider… Cheers

Good point there. In the 90s it was possible now, not so much.

Why would you want this inside the cab, especially if you're not going to be racing it or whatever.

Topo’s Ranger is a pretty trick/custom specific use vehicle.
So I could see a cage stuffed in his cab.
A full race cage would tie into the frame (or tube chassis). A ‘street cage’ may have flat metal plates attached to the floor in 4 or 6 points. A street cage may not need door bars to restrict entry. Four point belting to think of.
It may still reduce cab crush in a rollover…
That said, its tight quarters. Creative tube placement with controls access thought out to keep in mind. Some pull the headliner, some have cut off the roof, built a cage then re attached.
Don't melt plastic or burn interior!
I am weight conscious… a lot of extra weight added is my thought.
Hmmm…

I don’t plan to race it. Definitely won’t be doing door bars. Just thinking something similar to the jeeps with the sport additions just a couple more bars, or just a little further than that. I’m wanting to wheel it more. SAS it then 40s. Like totally opposite of Baja racing.

Interior cages are for race vehicles.. or at least something where you wear a helmet while operating the thing. Getting in an accident and wailing your head off of the bar that goes right past said noggin is a good way to end up drooling on yourself for the rest of your life.

Exocage sounds like the way to go in your case to be honest.

Exocage it. Those look sweet. Especially if you are going to rock 40s. Give you exterior protection, mounting points for stuff, and the roll over protection you want.
