They used to have them in Massachusetts and there were all kinds of issues getting the nozzle in the tank and filling it. In my earlier post where I stated I have had 7 vehicles with the capless fuel fillers was after they did away with the vapor recovery bellows. They have also started allowing the handle latch on self serve pumps too. It was a pain when you had to squeeze and hold the handle for the entire time you are putting gas in the tank.Soooo glad they never mandated these fuel vapour recovery bellows where I’ve lived. What a PITA they are and I cursed them every time I was filling up my older Ranger or my rental car whenever I was in a state that required them.
Is there any data that shows they actually provide any benefit? Hate ‘em.
