A friend at the dealer did the work on the side and it took a coulple week's though.WAIT A MINUTE, please share (sorry if I missed it if you did) but what was needed for the gear change? I saw Ford performance added those gear ratio kits in their catalog under our gen Ranger but it was not made clear.
Or shoot, what shop did it? I would drive to CA for a gear swap. Taking my Ranger to my buddies tire shop this weekend in Inglewood for tires and alignment lol. Two alignment shops in Vegas both sucked so ever since just go to my buddies shop. Central Tire Service #5 if you are in the area, ask for Aldo.
APG this year just told me a gearing change was not possible without a diff swap and custom parts, plus they only do it for people who have their APG kit already. Man, this is giving me hope in gearing again.
I am trying to catch up since I just saw this thread but does it help remove some of the off idle sluggishness? To me kinda feels like boost lag but maybe is the way Ford programed the throttle input. I have 285/70/17 (~33") and wouldn't mind getting some torque back.
