Nothing new on the Ranger but I guess a warning, don't visit me at my new job... Will be moving to a county job managing the cemeteries in a couple weeks...:D

Small pay increase but benefits are paid, shorter work week(4 vrs 7), no federal holidays, yearly clothing allowance, and much better retirement program. I took the current job as a so called "retirement" job before covid, but conflicts with my Search and Rescue work, the inconstant work schedule, and the 403B retirement being accessible by outside agencies made me look elsewhere.

I submitted my two weeks after the job offer came through and two of my co-workers stopped working that day. I felt bad for the upper management that really was not to bad to work with these past two years. The new workers that will be remaining will have a "rough" patch as they learn to manage with fewer workers but it will improve after they hire replacements.

Latest report on my oil, going to take it into the dealership and have them go over it and see what they can find. Kicking myself for not pressing this when I was in the warranty period.

June our tracks open. There was a cleanup day at a nearby 1/8th mile last weekend but I've been putting in overtime at the new job. Means I can afford the fuel system fix and the fuel to go racing right?

May 2020 I poked under the dash and took out the cabin air filter to find it pretty filled with dirt...well, here's a reminder not to forget that little bugger...

In other news I did a short run(<3k) on some full synthetic 5-30 and sent it to the lab, hoping for a better fuel in oil result since the pickup has been driven in warmer weather and longer trips.

My local dealership did a compression test and fuel system check for me. No bad news on that end, for the cost of the tech time only it was worth the piece of mind.

Unfortunately that means I will not be racing this weekend but I will still spectate. My niece just qualified to run her junior rail so I'm going to watch her and some other family race. Take care all!
