What is up with people and the holidays? Last year someone parked right up against my truck. Yesterday I came out of Sam's Club to this. Note where the cart coral is.

Just yesterday afternoon I came out of Hobby Lobby to find a cart parked against my rear bumper, similar to yours.
I have a severe dislike for lazy, inconsiderate people that do stuff like this.

This is why I always park way out in the back of a parking lot. There's to many lazy inconsiderate people (I'm being nice here) out there. Most people are too lazy to walk the extra distance so there's less of a chance something like this will happen. Plus it gives you a little more exercise walking.

But on occasion I'll have someone like this park next to me when I'm back there! ?‍♂

Agreed. Although there was that guy in the Ram that did the same thing and ran into my front bumper.

Many, many, (many,) moons ago I was that kid picking up all those carts folks would leave in the neighbor's yard. Don't know why you would - but if you ever want to lose a little faith in humanity, hang out in a supermarket shopping lot for a half hour.

Your big mistake was parking in the same row as, and just a few spots from the cart return....probably only 50% of people use them, and others just kind of push the carts toward the general vicinity of the return.
Shame on you.....you should know better !!!!!

I still hold the belief that lazy pos people that leave their carts in the middle of the parkinglot are the worst humans ever and should be executed.

Ok, maybe not executed, but tortured and made to move shipping carts for all eternity.

We always park as far from the entrance of the in the least crowded area of the parking lot. When we come out 9 time out of 10 a car or two have parked right next to us with many available spots vacant all around us. We've since narrowed it down even more by parking next to an island so only one side of the car is at risk.

Last week we were on out way out of the grocery store and watched a lady strop on the middle of the road and leave her cart 20' from the store entrance were all the carts are stored. She actually walked right past the carts, and left it in the center of the store front road!

I could not stand it, and politely called out to her that she forgot to put her cart away. She looked befuddled, and a tad bit ashamed, then turned on a false rage of cursing at us yelling all manner of insults. I told her not to worry, I'd put it away for her... more profanities as she walked away.

We simply smiled back at her as we pulled the cart out of the road.

We live in a once small town in NC. This was never a problem before the mass influx of people moving here displacing the natives.

I guess old habits die hard.

Same.

I usually make it a point to grab a couple of the 'left by losers' carts on the way into the store.

It seems like it keeps getting worse. I'd be all for the Aldi method of making you pay $.25 for them.

I saw Tucker Carlson grocery shopping in Russia. The cart there had a coin operated lock on it. You deposited a dollar coin in them, and got your money back when you returned the cart to the cart bin.

A really good idea!

BTW, they stayed for a week and the team ordered groceries for the entire week. They made wagers about the cost. The average wager was $400. The bill came to $100! They were all stunned. The selection of foods was on par with the typical US grocery store.
