So, I traded in my Ranger today for a F-150 STX with 2.7L. My lease was up and I was able to negotiate 11k off the MSRP and got free running boards and
spray in bed liner.

Even tho I didn’t post a lot, I learned tons from you guys and appreciate all the information you gave me.

Thank you!

Corporate drone. Dilbert's world is alive & well.
Sorry that you had to endure a such vehicle downgrade. But any wheels are better than no wheels. Not just anyone can own a Ranger. At least you were worthy at one point in your life.

Be that as it may hope the F-150 treats you well. No doubt you'll get a bit choked up every time you pass a 5G. And justifiably so.

Good luck with your new F150. They're a great truck too especially if you need the extra cab/bed room. Hopefully it treats you well and you come around here once in a while and let us know how you like it.

If you've been around a while, you know the drill.

Pics, or we will assume you really bought a Santa Cruz ?.

Enjoy your new ride!

Very nice ride! I always loved my F150's and it would be my first choice if I ever needed another large truck again.

At least Michael was the sane one and bought another Ford!??

j/k Every truck has its good and bad points. I'm sure those other two are good trucks too.

Ok, I couldn't even type that with a straight face! ??

Nice truck. Even with the incentives of $5k to $7K off of F150's, they are still more expensive than the Rangers. They are nice, but too big for me.

I was able to get the F150 for 3K less than my Ranger XLT but it took most of the day negotiating the price. I was able to get free running boards and spray in bed liner to close the deal.

I agree it’s bigger and I loved the Ranger but the issues I had with it was just too much. I love the fact that a lot of people on here have zero problems with the Ranger. I didn’t want to trade it in but I had to remove the emotional connection and just go on pure logic.

Hope I was right.

I would've done the same thing and most likely sooner. You have to be happy and feel secure in the vehicle you're driving and if the Ranger wasn't making you feel that way it was time to move on. I hate negotiating price at the dealerships and have done it many times but look at it this way. You made $11K that day which is a good chunk of change! ?

Just so glad you didn't buy a Tacoma!:whew: ?
