I wish a lot of things were in Forscan, I used it to turn off the telematics, which was great, but I removed the telematics fuse, and unplugged the cellular modem, just to be sure.

No more calling home to "momma" in the middle of the night and telling on me.

Care to tell where you found the telematics in forscan? And did you have to pull the fuse also?

It was recently added. I need to go look see to get it right. I do remember that it was in the easy section where you didn't need to fiddle with binary (Hex) strings.

Thank You so much!! THIS was the fix I needed, it solved the Issue with low rpm jerking/stuttering. I am usually on the freeway majority of the time but i just got tired when i was in the city driving between 20 to 40 mph my truck would jerk/stutter when i would keep the accelerator steady at a certain low speed, now no matter at what low speed i keep it at it wont buck/jerk/stutter it stays smooth. my old part did have some water droplet's in it when i took off. Thank you again so much for the guide did this job in 10 minutes and that nuisance of an issue is now gone.

After clearing the moisture out of the lines and the DPFE sensor a couple weeks ago, the bucking behavior is back. I got a replacement DPFE sensor from RockAuto (under $18 plus shipping) but before I put it on, what can be done to catch the moisture before it gets into the sensor? I had thought about using a cannula on a shop vac to suck it out of the two lines, but would rather solve the problem.

I just swapped out the 17 month old sensor, same one I shook water out of two weeks ago, and got more moisture out of the sensor. I rigged my shop vac to fit over the hoses and ran it for a few seconds - no idea if I got any moisture out or not - then installed the new aftermarket part (VP-1 from Rock Auto). The issue, in my opinion, is not the sensor. It is the design of the tubing that samples the exhaust. My truck is almost five years from manufacture date and I will be trading it after the new year. Hopefully Ford will issue a TSB that will fix the problem, but I doubt it.

Just want to say thanks a ton for the info. I just replaced the sensor Ford KA1Z-5L200-A Which is the part without the hoses. I just clipped the old clamps off with some dikes and used some worm gear clamps when going back.

This not only got rid of the surging/bucking but really smoothed out general acceleration.

Of course it was only in stock @ Lakeland Ford but right now they are in stock for 16 bucks at rock auto. Get em while they last.

I was driving yesterday and saw water dripping from the exhaust of a vehicle in front of me and it made me think about the moisture issue we are having. The truck is raked with the back end higher than the front end. What is the likelihood that that is causing moisture to run forward instead of toward the tailpipe? I am not wanting to level the truck to find out, just wondering.

I think there may be a weep hole very near the muffler to help drain moisture off?

My concern is that with the rear end higher than the front, that the exhaust (and EGR) may not have a positive drainage to the rear.

Our new to us 2019 at 68k gave us the ‘check engine’ on a long trip far from home and internet. Past experience on our other vehicles - check fuel cap. Light out shortly after but back on several times since in the past month. Local auto parts code reader gave the P139C code, which led me here. Parts on order.
FYI-My local KY Ford stealer wants $412 parts, labor and tax. RockAuto currently $16.57 + tax/ shipping, $40 and change for two.

I got an intermittent check engine light, checked the code with torque & it was a P0113. This started in Sept, so today I went to dealer thinking it was emission related. They had a different code, which
was for DPFE. They want 5 hrs labor + parts, 60k mile truck. So that's over 1,000$ Canadian, which comes to, what half that US?
No other issue with truck, no other symptoms.
Anyway, Rock Auto it shall be.
How do they figure 5 hrs???
Same dealership I got the transmission updated with a TSB & they wanted to charge me when it was still covered with warranty.
Do they wonder why we call them stealerships?
