If I could have gotten some type of coiled spring to fit inside the hose I would have slipped it in to provide some curvature. I believe the fuel injection hose is far more durable than what was there before and the bend that is there will be inconsequential unless the alignment was super critical. I just don't know? @airline tech stuck his hand in there to see but I wonder if it is going to become a problem. Engine movement in relation to the fan's fixed mount has got me wondering.

Still gonna check it regularly of course.
I inserted 0.25" soft copper tubing into the silicone hose that I used. Then formed it. My hose had the 90 degree bend molded into it from the factory. It worked well.

Checked mine again today. Still looks good, soft and pliable, no cracks. Maybe my 2019 had better hose, you know the decontenting with COVID.

I do wonder about the heat. That stub mounted to the engine gets pretty hot.

It has been 40 years since I took a materials science class at Duke, but I do remember the basics.
Materials Science. That was a tough class to get through.

I went to Northeastern University in Boston. Across the street from the main campus was a dive bar called the Cask and Flagon. It's gone now, but it had the same owners as the one in Kenmore Square near Fenway. Anyway, the Cask had a daily lunch special. Two hot dogs and a PBR pounder for $0.99. That is a dangerous offer for a college engineering student, but it was too hard to pass up. Unfortunately, I had English Literature 3 days a week, and Materials Science 2 days a week, about an hour after lunch. They suffered the aftermath of a pint of beer, a full stomach, and a very boring subject. I don't remember much about the class interactions. I hope I didn't snore too loudly. I passed both, and that's all that matters.

Back to trucks.

Reading through this thread I see three pro-active solutions possible: the $5 fix - a short length of reenforced hose, a $500+ fix/mod (I forgot who @RCMUSTANG ?) where a completely different fan system is used like on the 6G, and something in the middle that is a better(?) engineered mount between the engine block and the fan assembly. I don't know how simple or elaborate that could be but it could be as much a game changer as the Fitzstick.

Anybody that changes theirs to anything other than the factory part, will be giving an excuse to the warranty company if it, or anything they can tie to it, goes bad... imho...
and now , a quick poem to really bring it home !

MIne gets a Spritz of 303 !
I do this at least once a day you see!
And every time at nite when I get up to pee ,
It gets another Spritz of 303 !
This makes my buddy Dave very proud of me ,and now my hose will last for eternity!

The reenforced silicone hose I replaced that windshield washer quality hose with will last far longer than my ownership of the truck... and I keep em a long time

Nice poem, nice fantasy
But 303 won't save your hose,
jus' speaking candidly!

I would think DEE ZEE would have a damper application that would work to absorb rotational forces that would work to protect hose from damage. Kinda like a damper /condom.

This is like Dr. Seuss on Crack.
I can't wait to see @DukeCanBuildit chime in with what his 404 can do!
When it’s 101 times better, it should last 101 times as long. It’s Math but if you prefer the liberal arts, here we go…

I will not spritz mine in a plane,
I will not spritz mine on a train,
Not in a bus, a car, or even a truck,

Spritz whatever you like,
I don’t give a…..darn.
