I researched anti-sway weight distributin hitches extensively when I wanted to get one. I opted for the Andersen. It has worked out amazing well and no need to disconnect anything when backing up. Keep in mind, it is counterproductive and a PITA if you have to disconnect to back up.

btw, I am approaching 6k lbs. fully loaded with sxs, water and supplies along with a fully loaded bed.

Just for reference the E2's do not need to be unhitched to back the trailer. Unfamiliar with other setups.

It is usually the friction sway bar used with hitches that do not have built-in sway control that need to the disconnected when backing.

My Husky Centerline TS does not need to disconnected either.

I’ve been happy with the Anderson WDH with integrated sway control. It’s light so it doesn’t eat up payload/hitch capacity, no friction bars to mess around with, easy to use. We pull a 20’ GeoPro, max. weight 4000lbs, and have never felt like the trailer was in control of things.

fwiw, We just got our first trailer (4000lbs) and got a Blue Ox with it at the dealer. They gave us a crash course on it. I am new to these types of hitches but I found it beyond simple to use and my wife was able to figure it out as well.

Take the time to read the Blue Ox instructions and make sure that the dealer set it up properly. Most dealers just slap them on 'good enough' and send them down the road.

Well worth your time to double check their work.

Also, as you load the trailer up with 'stuff' you'll want to double check that everything is still kosher, depending on where you store things, and what you store.
