The one I am referring to is a 2021 XL with SXT badging.
That plug is still not it....
Your looking for the main wire bundle to the left of the brake....there will be 4 wires that end in a "cut"...no plug, and will most likely be taped to the wire bundle with a piece of blue tape (though some have found different colored tape holding them). Wires are small gauge.....12 gauge.

If you have the pigtails, they will be up under the driver side dash, near the kick panel. The four wires are yellow/orange, violet/white, blue, and white. They are just taped up to a wiring harness and don't have a connector.

Evidentaly, some Rangers didn't have the 4 wires. But ... it isn't bad to add the TBC if you have to wire it from scratch. Seems like some of the Aussie vids I watched before installing the Redarc don't have those 4 wires and, frankly, I probably would have cussed less running wires from the front to that back.

I am curious as to where the wires run (tap) into, are they running forward into the firewall or are they tapped into the BCM.
I am assuming this is a used truck, and previous owner had an aftermarket Assy hooked up and since removed.
Be it - Start-X, Perimeter Plus or a Tracking Device, or a plug for a CB power it would be something requiring High Amp tie in.

I see 3 wires in the pic - Power / Ground and what looks like a (trigger/ control) wire (?)

The wires in my 21 lariat 4x4 with tow package were hard to find. Mostly because you can't get under the dash well enough to look up that far. If you have a bench the same height as the floor of your truck, try laying on your back and sliding in under the steering column. Also, use your phone camera to video up there. If I remember right, my wires were taped pointing up so I didn't see the ends were cut for a long time. I'll try to find some of my pictures.

I purchased the truck new, I'm original owner. Not sure where it is going. But it is going up towards the fuse box. I have not been able to find a solid blue wire in the harness or a yellow red. What's odd is it was the only thing that had blue tape on it. There are about 7 wires on the harness

Just for clarification, is the pink / red wire actually a larger gauge wire as it appears in the pic or is that just an illusion of a magnification pic?

Please refer to my post above concerning the other topic that I linked. If you don't have the 4 wires taped up for the TBC, then you will have to purchase and install the wiring harness referenced in the other post. I mentioned the colors of the 4 wires above also, it does not contain a yellow red wire for the TBC. As I said above, some XL models did not come with the TBC pigtail wiring.

I think on the XL (maybe XLT low [300A] too) trim: If your truck came from the factory with the tow package it should have the wires, if it didn't have the tow package, it may or may not have them. At least that is how it seems to be with the Ranger.

I think that the harness for tow package and some other option, perhaps the 110-power outlet, were the same, but if neither of those were standard nor optioned on it, the harness used didn't have the brake controller wires.

No it is a larger wire maybe 12 awg. The others are very small, maybe 22, 24 awg

It has the exact harness connector that my Curt Triflex harness extender came with.

Are the 4 wires from Ford on the top or bottom of the splice?
