Yes I have the button, BUT that is not auto fold. My dictionary defines AUTO as happening with no human intervention such as pushing said button.
The auto fold refers to the fact that once you push the button, the mirrors will automatically complete the cycle to fold or unfold completely and then stop on their own without you having to hold the button down during mirror movement. Auto cycles in machinery usually require a button to be pushed to start the auto cycle. Even those that have installed the mirror auto folding module, still require a button press to cause the mirrors to fold or unfold.

Yes, My 22 has the same wording, it should state Pwr Folding to avoid the confusion.
You have to remember that the manuals and any ford documents etc, are a Cut & Paste from similar models - and then tweaked (sometimes that tweak) is completely missed by the Proof-Reading Department.
So, if I recall the ROW Rangers have Auto-Fold, that description was Copy & Paste, from the ROW Ranger (Most Likely)

I didn't realize I had the folding mirrors until I spotted the button, it's kinda hidden by the left side of my steering wheel, I love it. I love it even more since I bought and installed the auto up window device that also auto folds the mirrors when you look the doors. If I hit the lock on the door it folds them but doesn't close the windows ( I hit the unlock right after) in this heat I can leave a couple of windows partially open when Im the garage. When you use the remote it folds and closes automatically.
Took me over a year to realize I had power folding mirrors ????

REDtek (in Australia) has a setup that will fold the mirrors when you lock the door and will unfold them, depending on how you wire it, either when you unlock or start the Ranger.

Currently shows as backordered :frown:

https://redtek.com.au/ols/products/ford-ranger-folding-mirror-module

BEWARE:

This is NOT compatible with the Clearview towing mirrors.

It works great with the stock mirrors:like:. Not so much with the Clearview. It might work a few times then the magic smoke gets out and nothing - NO IN OR OUT :giggle::wink::champagne::crackup::crackup::crackup:

Have an idea how to get it to work with the Clearview, but need to experiment ?

Edit: I should have added, when you remove the RedTek module, that doesn't work any longer, and put everything back to the original configuration. The Clearview mirrors work fine.

On my window sticker under "Standard Equipment Included At No Extra Charge" Exterior it says "Mirrors-Pwr/Htd/Auto Fold" ---I do not have AUTO FOLD.

Does anyone else have this stated on their window sticker? I am scheduled for the Works Package next month. I plan to take the window sticker with me and see what sales has to say.

Hmmmmm
Auto fold means you press the button and hold it, they fold in. Press and release they did back out.

You don't need to hold the button as it latches in to fold the mirrors. A second press releases the button and they unfold.

Soooo....you have a "delete button" where "button button" would go, thereby signifying that the "button" has been deleted, but replaced with a delete button so you know the "button" has been deleted.....:headbang:
Typical Ford...like when they deleted the tie-downs, but left a threaded holes to let you know that if the tie-downs WERE there, that's where they would go.....

I have the lariat with auto fold. I assume it means power fold. Not having to do it manually.
