Does anyone know if you can add Lariat side mirrors to an XLT Ranger?
I do not want the leather interior or fancy headlights, but I love the chrome mirrors.

They are wired differently and very expensive to buy ($545 each).

I would just take the mirror covers off and have them chromed.

The Lariat have both heated and turn signal mirrors, The Lariat will most likely have a 5 pin connector and an XLT will have a 3 pin, so wiring is completely different.
In my guesstimation, the scull caps can be installed in chrome on the black mirrors. But then you have two totally non functioning lights, Unless, you have some strong electrical skills to run the wiring to each mirror bulb from the turn signal circuit.
Is it worth it? Well it's your truck, anything's possible.

Sometimes the wiring is there, just the pins are blank. It would be a nice plug and play feature. I don't care for the chrome, but would like turning indicators in my mirrors.

I'm not ready to start ripping my new truck apart to find out.

I drove an XLT that was optioned with the power folding mirrors. It was pretty slick.

My XLT has the power folding mirrors. I believe it was part of the 302A package.
