Is it to soon to ask if Bryan's transmission is going out yet?
Not to my knowledge still seems to pull and shift smoothly like it did 30k ago..but I did have to take it in to get the infotainment system and modules replaced right at 29,360 miles (radio, ac, Bluetooth, WiFi pretty much everything in the center of the dash that was digital.) have the 5yr 100k bumper to bumper warranty so they covered it with only one push back phone call from the dealer saying it wasn’t going to be covered… service manager at the ford store Morgan hill called me back and apologized his employee made the mistake of saying it wouldn’t be covered, also my understanding is that I got about 10k-15k before the fox needs to be rebuilt so getting ready for that little bump in the road too.. the usbs that connect the apple play has been kind iffy on occasion, however I think it’s my gas station cord that’s failing.

Depending on what you really do with the truck it might be more cost effective to swap in eibach or bilsteins and just take the fox out... When it's time for me to rebuild them I'm planning on swapping them for a set of icons or custom valved foxes...

Oh man I’d like to see it and read his comparison, little side note is I have been thinking about getting a used 2022 xlt tremor instead and just putting the leftover balance that the ranger R would be using to do a long travel street legal pre runner 5th gen.. I do really love our current tremor and was heart broken when I found out the for performance tune is not CA legal for the 23’ model year currently (hope it becomes carb legal for 23’s sooner than later.) so yeah it’s truthfully between 2022’ (because Cali carb.) pre runner style build or Ranger Raptor (because It was my original plan to get one which may be odd to some but I have this I didn’t accomplish a goal I set for myself feeling by not having it.)

also nice to meet you and trying to guide me to save money ?

Was thinking similar about getting the from fox adjustable 2.5 coilovers and 2.5 rears and having the oem ford fox rebuilt and hang on to them for the next service interval.. currently it’s a daily driver, occasionally some Hollister hills special vehicle rec area easy jeep trails, camping, helping my parents with their ranch stuff (pretty steep grading in some areas on their property.) dump trailer towing for them, and the travel trailer toy hauler with a couple dirt bikes roughly around 6,500lbs fully loaded leaving us around 1k# for wife, kids, dog, and personal day packs for each of us in the truck so we don’t have to dig around in the trailer during stops on the way to the forest. Don’t need the best of the best, just a good job that went well do a lot setup ?. So I think the 2.5 adjustable fox (wifey likes to say we have fox shocks it’s the brand she recognizes and she likes the logo.) will be ok for everything we do.. as far as wheels and tires we’d like to keep the current stock Tremor/Raptor style wheels and put 33” tire on it or the 280/70/17 setup I’ve seen is pretty popular and recommended (but is like a 32.5” tire or something?)

? well if you think long term getting a 5th gen tremor used (hopefully around $30k-35k.) and then modding (dumping 15-20k into it landing somewhere under 60k) vs getting a Ranger Raptor keeping it stock (here I’ve been seeing $65k prices here in Cali and boom that saving roughly 5 grand???‍??‍?.) (unlikely but you can’t take away my dreams ?.) (side note wifey is reading over my shoulder laughing at my half-cocked logic ?.) I admit I do feel silly reading it out loud myself?

Congrats on the new Tremor, Bryan!
Thank you sir it’s been a great truck and I’m extremely happy with it stock. Would definitely recommend (and I have before) getting one (2021-2022 model if you’re in California…FPtune… please Cali carb approve the 23’s already?.)

Well I was going to say "whatever makes you fell better trying to justify it"?

I had my name at the top of the list at two different dealers for a R Raptor. After getting my Tremor I thought long and hard about it and besides the "prestige" of saying I have a Raptor it was a lot of money to spend on something I'll never use to it's fullest. I was also living in Arizona where there's a lot of open desert and I still couldn't justify spending that much more for so little gain. Personally I would build up the Tremor with a lift, tires & wheels and suspension and get a tune if it becomes legal there and call it a day. Then take the extra money you saved and buy your wife another truck because you'll never want to give this one back. ?

No need for anything else you already have the BEST mod for your truck. Ok, maybe some 303 products would be the icing on the cake! ?
Some cousins came to visit us at the cottage (queue the banjo music) and one of them had a VW GTI. It looked like it had a flat paint finish - suits a sportycar like that I guess. When I got closer, it was an imitation carbon fibre wrap on the bumper, air dam, hood, mirror covers, and roof. It looked pretty good but up close, the wrap seemed a bit rough - it was a few years old, and showing its age - no bubbling or peeling, just looking worn. He said he was told he should redo it or peel it off and just go with the paint. I told him he should try some 303 Protectant and gave him a small spray bottle and micro fibre towel I had in the shed.

I was up early the next day, so I got some 303 Protectant from the rifle case on my topper and put a couple of coats on his mirror covers - they
really came to life and I was inspired, so I got some hot, soapy water to clean his hood, and prepped it with some isopropyl wipes before putting a couple of coats of 303 on it. I did this while he and his wife were out for a walk on the beach. When they came back, he was soon heading to the driveway to try out the 303 I gave him. He absolutely flipped when he saw his car.

So, yeah, the stuff works!

Awesomeness I like that and the look is on the list of important things which means good cleaning products and good paint protection products you also saved me from having to look up what was meant when 303 products were mentioned ?. I like the random act of kindness, it’s kinda like a prank but more gooder
