I get coupons for Quick Lane for the works package that my dealer honors. Our Quick Lane is across the street from the dealer. I get the works package for (probably should not say this) $39.95.

My wife was visiting her folks overseas, and found these little appliqués in the local equivalent to a dollar store which claimed that they'd keep the mirror clear during rain; put them on over the weekend, and got to try them out today. TBH, they work better than I thought they would:

I'm onto you.

I took the ranger into the dealer today for them to install new belt molding on the driver side door, only 55 bucks, not bad. Also had the works package done. This time it cost me 96 dollars, last time it was $74. I remember when it only cost 56 dollars. ? Whats everybody else paying?
My last works was $74.49-18.99 (coupon)=55.50 with Synthetic Blend. I am planning to go full Synthetic next time so that will increase. No charge for "New oil sticker put on windshield"

DIY Exhaust, sounds pretty dang good and not super aggressive which I didn’t want. Beats hearing just the fan. Total cost was 150$

Lol it’s to the left of the diff, and not pointed directly at it but over the top of the axle. Bold of you to think these little ecoboosts make much heat anyways. Ive seen toasters put out more heat

Ok. Its been a a couple weeks, but got it put together for the most part. New cap, upgraded the RTT, installed refrig slide and mountain bike thru axle mount.
Any ideas on more easily assessable side storage?

on a side note…someone please buy my Retrax cover and Swingcases. They are in the classifieds.

Woo hoo!
Back on December 13, 2023 this happened...
1000003396.jpg

The damage was pretty minimal (for me, not her). One thing that bothered me was one of the fake studs on the wheel that she hit broke off.

These are the same wheels that Ranger 5G helped me win!

Well, the wheel studs have been on backorder ever since December of 2023, and I finally got a replacement in today!

I drilled out the old one and then backed it out with one easy-out. Then it was as simple as knocking the new one in with a hammer!

Corporate drone. Dilbert's world is alive & well.
Honestly I kind of wished got it sooner, just didn't have the means.

The ranger was kind of one of them vehicles "Like ****, I'm stuck with it now..." situations.
Interior was clean but just weird. Button layout didn't make sense, and hard to see.
Suspension was bouncy as my F150, the driver seat gave me back problems which are finally getting better after sitting in the frontier for the past 2 weeks. Finally the transmission started missing shifts. The day it went from 3rd, to 10th, then slammed to 1st was like yep **** you ford I'm getting rid of you.

Plus it was 2WD, which was preventing me from going off to explore service roads, and going home to minnesota for holiday visits.

Now to calm you folks down, yes the Nissan DOES have it's issues. Rides much better but she noisy inside. Quite a few things rattle/clunk inside. Feels more like a truck to me though, reminds me a lot of my beloved S10s.. Just bigger.

The throttle input to forward movement has significant lag, though I'm already used to it.

Cost cutting in odd places; Bare minimum undercoating... lot of sharp edged metal panels mainly in the fenders in the engine bay.

Well shoot. Hate you felt the need to ditch the Ranger. Hope the Frontier serves you well.

Got the windows tinted. The ceramic does make quite a difference when parked in the sun. Doing the windshield is pushing it as far as getting hassled, but a limo strip across the top is common aorund here and makes the interior feel cockpit-like in a way because of the narrowed view. I may go back and do a tint across the whole windshield though.

And due to the proliferation of devices I jumped on the bulletpoint bandwagon. Expensive but slick looking. I think I need a power point now though as I hid the wires only for them come out at the bottom and clog up all the USB/12V outlets. They just came out with radar detector mounts too and there is a sale on R7s.
