Changed my cabin air filter.
I was suspicious of the dealer giving it a "green" on the inspection report you get with an oil change, as I knew they hadn't dumped the glove box to check it. So I checked it and bought a Wix replacement.

To piggyback off my own post...they ALSO over-inflated my tires (I keep them at 30lbs cold) and they failed to reset my oil life monitor.
Argh!

It's sad that so many dealerships are incompetent these days! I mean it doesn't take a rocket scientist to check these things and should be textbook 101 for the service dept. :explode::facepalm:

I looked at it at the Nissan dealership I traded in for my frontier.
Gave me $26,000, selling it for $29,000. Not terribly bad highway robbery...

Don't question my grammar, I too had a stroke reading this post.

Why is your recommended PSI at 30, while most I've seen it's 35?

I don't know. I'm not a tire engineer....but that's what's on the door jamb sticker and that's where I run them. I rotate and balance them every oil change (5K miles-ish), and they supposedly have 6/32 left on all 4 at 35K miles on the truck.
Original equipment Bridgestone Dueler AT's.
I'll probably replace them by years end.

My stock Hankook's are 30 #PSI while my new Cooper AT3's which are the exact same size tire is 35 # PSI. Kinda weird????

Indeed.
I think when I replace mine I'd like to go a size wider but not taller, if that's possible.

Wow.
I don't even remember you posting this...but then again I'm now at the point I don't remember a lot of things that I think I should. ?
Do you find yourself liking the Frontier as much as you thought you would?

Honestly I kind of wished got it sooner, just didn't have the means.

The ranger was kind of one of them vehicles "Like ****, I'm stuck with it now..." situations.
Interior was clean but just weird. Button layout didn't make sense, and hard to see.
Suspension was bouncy as my F150, the driver seat gave me back problems which are finally getting better after sitting in the frontier for the past 2 weeks. Finally the transmission started missing shifts. The day it went from 3rd, to 10th, then slammed to 1st was like yep **** you ford I'm getting rid of you.

Plus it was 2WD, which was preventing me from going off to explore service roads, and going home to minnesota for holiday visits.

Now to calm you folks down, yes the Nissan DOES have it's issues. Rides much better but she noisy inside. Quite a few things rattle/clunk inside. Feels more like a truck to me though, reminds me a lot of my beloved S10s.. Just bigger.

The throttle input to forward movement has significant lag, though I'm already used to it.

Cost cutting in odd places; Bare minimum undercoating... lot of sharp edged metal panels mainly in the fenders in the engine bay.

I wasn't overly impressed with my 22 Tremor either. Back in December, I traded it in on a 24 GMC Sierra SLT Crew Cab 4x4 with the 3.0L diesel. I am still on my first tank of fuel & the driver info center is showing an average of 32 MPG! Even if it calculates out to 25-28, that incredible for a full size 4x4.
