It was a great chair for nearly 20 years and I used that "leather" tape stuff to make it last a bit longer. The springs were shot and I had two gel foam things shoved under the cushion as well as a piece of corrugated plastic.that was great! i wish i had that chair it looked comfy...
I have really horrible sleep apnea (as opposed to good apnea) and I have slept many, many nights in that thing. It was really hard to give it up - both because chairs cost an outlandish amount and it was such a comfy chair. I suppose if I wasn't such a fat @$$ it probably would have still been in decent shape. =(
It was sad to discard it but ... life moves one and waits for no chair! =D
And good eye on liking the chair, it was 100% US made - from a company in Saltillo Mississippi!
