Mattress for 5’ Truck Bed

Hey dudes,

I'm having trouble finding an inflatable mattress for my 5’ short bed. All I seem to find are mattresses for long beds—the shortest I’ve seen are 5.5’?
I got a Napier Sportz Tent recently for a camping trip and I want to get a mattress for it.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

The tent extends over the open tailgate essentially making the bed longer than 5 feet so you'll have some more options.

Does that mean a long bed mattress will fit? According to the sites it says it will not fit my truck.

I have used this air bed ( 75"L x 39"W x 8.75"Th) with my Napier Bed Tent.

It seems like the 5.5’ mattresses are for full size short bed trucks. I think they are too wide for my truck, according to the dimensions I’ve seen.

I suggest you look beyond stuff for your truck and source stuff that will fit the available space - anything designed specifically for trucks will assume the tailgate being closed but I don’t think that’s how a Napier works.

Search air beds in general and I bet you‘ll find what you need.

I was thinking the air mattresses used by back country hikers and hunters might be a good choice.

Here is the naiper air mattress 42" wide, a bit of a gap along the edge, mind you this is without the tent. The built in pump is kind of joke unless you want to spend most of camping trip blowing up the mattress. The tent does fit over the rollup tonneau cover.

check out Luno. Has the wheel well cutouts and extensions for full length when the tailgate is down. Super comfy I even use it in my tent as a mattress or stacked as a "couch"

Soo... Here is an option. Completely customizable. I've ordered two, one for the back of my Bronco -4" thick for my pups, and another for a backseat bench. Holds up well to the pups. it was this or go get custom cut foam, but I like how they have turned out. Give it a try! Comes pretty quick too.

Very cool! too bad they don't have an option to have it foldable with a seam down the middle or trifold.

Yo man! It would be a huge help if you could confirm which model Napier tent you bought! Yours appears to fit great. I have been wanting to pull the trigger on one but a bit confused on which size/model to get with my 5ft bed. Seems to be some conflicting info online about them. Thanks in advance!
