What did you do to your Ranger today?

Ha. I was thinking of that. Only reason I don't keep that on is I didn't want to look like one of those posers with shackles dangling front and back, however they're usually also running a ridiculous lift and 20" wheels lol. Defintely not my truck anyhow and so I will throw it back on.

Shackles front and back will come in handy when the transmission grenades and the truck needs to be strapped down to a flatbed wrecker.

Funny you should ask. ? When I bought it, I promised myself I’d lube it regularly and check it periodically to make sure it didn’t seize up on me - you know, salt and all that. This past Fall, after a few years of not doing what I should have, I decided to try my key in the lock. Completely seized!

Eventually, with a lot of penetrating oil, I got the key to turn in the lock. Then after a lot of cursing, two big Vice Grip pliers, and a pry bar, I managed to get the lock apart.

In the end, I decided a $50 hitch shackle doesn’t really need a locking hitch pin because of the salt and brine used on our roads.

I put some gas in mine. I guess that is something. My parts are delivered to the shop for my Dobinson leafs, so those will get picked up this week and installed during the 60 degree weather in Denver

I put the bulbs I had my subaru headlights into my foglights.

They are lasfit leds.

They are waaaayyyyyy brighter than the stock halogen bulbs.

Now I really want to get new headlights.... But I've got sliders and a drawer system to get first.... ? The old saying - lockers before lights and all that....

I asked if they were going to open the community pool this week. My neighbors don't get my sense of humor though... ?

Pulled and Mic'd the sensor hole in the front bumper. Prepping for the performance bumper install and I'm going to be drilling holes for the sensors.

The holes are keyed too ? but a tiny bit of Dremel work with some side cutting bits should make short work of that. The key slots are small.

Have a bi metal hole saw coming tomorrow going to test it on a piece of scrap sheet metal first and see if they fit up right before I get started on the bumper next week, I hope ? supposed to get snow this weekend and if the weather's shitty I may wait.
