Hey, for those of you who purchased the first dipsticks, I planned on sending new updated replacements, the new stick order showed up (better visibility in bright light), so I did a shipping test, shipped 4 of them using 2" tubes.

One made it perfectly, two were flattened a bit, one had a broken tube, but all the sticks were in tact.

I was about to buy 40+ tubes but I got a charge back from UPS! usually it can be a few bucks here and there, but on the tubes I got 2 charge backs for $20.50 each, which is more than the original shipping, it just says "Additional Handling - Packaging/Other" tried to call UPS, hopeless this time of year, stuck in AI phone hell, then finally got a 20+ minute wait time and gave up!

Anybody here work for UPS? I thought it may be because they had to tape up the broken tube, but the other charge was on the one that showed up in perfect condition.

So, gotta figure out this shipping thing, as soon as I do, I will start getting some measurements from you early stick owners!

Don't work for UPS, but I do a lot of estimates for work. They will charge an "Additional handling fee" when shipping a tube. To see this rate in advance while setting up your shipment, you can click the check-box for "This Shipment Requires Additional Handling" under Shipment Options. Hope this helps.

Mike, have you considered buying shipping boxes in bulk from some of the box companies like Uline (as an example) ?
Seems like it would be easier and cheaper to get some boxes that would fit the Fitzstick's and the replacement sticks your planning on sending out......
Something like 36" x 4" x 4"......
And, the more you buy in bulk, the cheaper each box gets....and they would be uniform for shipping purposes.

Hey, thanks for the input, but after much research, I already have 200+ (had to buy in bulk or the shipping is expensive) 6" x 6" X 28" for the sticks, it was the cheapest way to ship the assembly, 4x4 is too small, dipstick wont fit!

I tried the 2" x 36" tubes as they were $10 cheaper to ship than the box, everything looked good until the charge back.

I'm going to see what the charge was for, if the tube wont work, I will ship the sticks in the boxes, but that is more expensive.

@Fitzmotor - I have noticed that UPS has been charging an additional $20 for missing apartment, suite, floor, etc numbers. It's obnoxious. Not sure if that may have been the cause.

I seriously doubt it...this kit was specifically designed to fit the 5G Ranger's firewall and 2.3 engine relationship...Bronco's chassis is brand new and connected to altogether different 2.7...
