You guys really are old aren't you.

?

The one thing about older vehicles (even as new as the 90's) is they were built with the intention of them lasting decades and being able to best on them. Now it's like you look at a vehicle wrong and some sensor breaks which triggers limp mode because owners need to be told not to drink battery acid... ?

Well, I was just going to change the oil and rotate the tires, which I did, but I got fed up with the rubber flap clips, which was my fault, after some of the Ford screw/clips failed on the last oil change. I dug through the clip drawer and found some Honda barbed clips, stuck them in, it was fine. Until I had to remove them for this oil change, I had to mangle them out.

So I broke out the Nut Sert kit and put in 5mm steel inserts, I do want to get better bolts, the kind with the captured washer.

I know, would have been much easier to get the proper clips, but they are not so great even when they are new.

Did this to mine 3 oil changes ago. Used some plastic headed stainless thumb screws. No tools required, hold fine against the rubbery flap.

And there a lot of things you can use vinegar for besides drinking.

Similar, but I used some of the magnets some others have posted about...2 oil changes ago and they hold great.

after breaking a leg, two ankles, and countless strawberries on knees and elbows - i am searching for animal chin via other modes of transportation lol. The boards are on the wall at my brothers house, never to be removed... breaking bones is not as much fun as was.

You young whipper snappers and your pop culture references.

Back when I was learning to drive I had a 4 speed manual transmission and that was fancy. ? ? ?
Been driving since 1966. Drove the family Pontiac Catalina station wagon.

Got the Icom installed today. The mic is temporary until I find a better spot for it. I absolutely despise cables, so I need to figure something out. I’ll get a parts list and pictures of the antenna. I’m also working on a batter mounting solution for the face. The body is under the passengers seat.
I also moved the GMRS mic cable to the center console.

This stays out of the way and does not interfere with the lid. I never used that cubby for anything anyways.

Us old farts gotta stick together (mainly cuz I need help lifting stuff). =p

Apart from walking barefoot in the snow, uphill, to and from school, when I learned to drive, and in my daily driver up to about 2003, I had a manual three speed and first wasn't synchronized.

And a hi-lo headlight switch on the floor. =)
