Hahaha I guess when you have the ol’ rusted tank, no one wants to mess with the beef ? wow your FIL still has it too? Man we gotta see pics of it in today’s age!!
We're planning on going up to see him this weekend. I'll try to get a snap of the battlewagon. Still looks almost the same except for the addition of a few decades of rust. ?

When I told him I was thinking of selling it he said "Sold. Tell me what you want for it."

It's STILL a tank. Reliable as a rock, though a lot of that comes from minimal electronics and the bullet proof NP435 granny gear manual trans. The only option it has is A/C and dual gas tanks. As thirsty as that engine is it needs them.

Hahaha what the heck, this electric wheel chair operator was going for a rollercoaster experience this time huh :p
She's actually a good friend of ours. She tends to sometimes get a little "zoomy" in her chair and we believe that the big scratch down my wife's car may be from one of her visits.

The one on my truck isn't bad at all. You wouldn't know it was there unless you were specifically looking for it.

A bit of a crease in the metal just behind the rear fender splashguard. It's down kinda low so not in your normal line of sight. Didn't even scratch the paint (it was plastic end cap on the wheelchair that hit it).

Oh boy. Can’t wait to see the extra rust quite honestly. Hah, your FIL wants to keep the tank in the family :p sometimes I miss the simplicity of machinery back in the days. The old washers, dryers, refrigerators without all that WiFi garbage, and vehicles without 1000 electronics(although we do like that luxury, can’t complain with the ranger). So much more reliable, own those things for 10+ years, now with the poor QC and capitalism we have things break down in a few years or less :/

Aww, I’m glad that at least it was a good friend and in a spot that was more hidden :) no harm there, just a good ol’ laugh. “Zoomy” ?

It won't be like this for long as more and more big city migrants move in...

Let's go Brandon!?
My friend just sent me a bumper sticker he bought with "LetsGoBrandon". Confused me as it was exactly what you said Sid... Now I understand... :giggle:

Dang. I park far away and some knucklehead always parks next to me.....
Happens to me also Bob. I can park in the back corner space of a 40 acre lot, and someone will have parked beside me when I come back. It's quite hard to understand.

Sorry to hear this Brandon. I hope it's an easy fix.

Hahaha, "back corner of a 40 acre lot". That sure seems how it is.

No worries at all Jim, I appreciate the concern. However, none of these vehicles in the accident were mine. Just a bystander that happened to see it all go down. My particular hit and run happened a few months ago and was a car door slamming into my fender, got PDR to fix it up real quick and looks like new :)

Retired, work is a four letter word.
My wife will park all the way in the back with a curb on one side to avoid stuff like this. her last car was 10 years old when she sold it, not one scratch. My Ranger also parks WAY out, I have no issue walking, but it seems like some beater always feels the need to park next to me.

Your wife knows how the way. Haha yes, as mentioned, the ol' Sanford & son junker always manages to tuck himself in with ya.

Here's the battlewagon, a little worse for wear and few pounds lighter due to more rust, but still rock-solid reliable.

Now wouldn't you feel confident parking your big $$$$ vehicle next to this?

I love parking next to the Sanford trucks. Most have had the same owner for 30 years, still pushing it down the road, and the only damage is from over loading garbage in the box or rust. Door dings or side swipes are going to be rare. They love their 35 year old beaters like family.

I do have allot of warning signs of things very obvious as I park, but can't speak to them without hurting feelings here of many here who do these things.

I would be pretty nervous if I had to park beside a Cyber Orange Ranger, especially if it smelled like butterscotch. :giggle:

Holy, that old school F150 is SWEET. Now I know why people stay a good bit away from ol' tanker. Let's just say it looks "rustic" and most definitely called ol' reliable. :giggle:
