For anybody dropping into this topic who's interested in a dipstick.

Go ahead and leave a post here stating you want one.

But I hope to have enough inventory soon to just put up a link here instead of a list.

Thank you.
I would be interested.

I used 24 inches to make sure I had adequate reach and extended out beyond the frame as shown below. This setup applies a solid nearly 90 degree torque on the OEM cap which broke loose easily.

This pic shows the full 24 inch length. The red at the very bottom is a plastic thread protector cap on the near end.

That’s interesting…all I had to do was use a ratcheting 19mm wrench… was able to brace my arm on something…and with a couple quick pops…was able to crack it loose. All just laying on my back under the truck, sitting on the ground.

Maybe I was just lucky. ??‍♂

Thanks.

One more question.

It looks as if the breaker bar is either close to the heat shield or touching it. I'd like to use a breaker bar ratcheting adapter along with the deep well socket. Think there's room for both before I make the purchase on Amazon?

I started with the bar leftmost near the heat shield as the required loosening movement is to the right.

That adapter you linked to may work with a standard socket, but perhaps too tall with a deep well socket.

I first tried a standard socket with a 3 inch extension. That was too tall. Need to have the correct height above the cap so the bar swings freely in the open plane.

Once loose, the cap spins off by hand.

Many thanks.

I'll try without that ratcheting adapter.

I'm going to have to supply a socket and an extra bolt in each kit

But, from here out it's a 8mm wrenching bolt, there's been a change to the hardware, and the fitting is now 15/16" not 1 1/16"

why the change in the fitting? I assume its the fitting that screws into the trans?

One of the things I got in the feedback was nobody had a 1-1/16" wrench, but everybody has a 15/16" so I found a supplier who has multiple choices in wrenching sizes, 15/16" was the smallest with still a large enough sealing area.

@Fitzmotor If you are still sending the updated sticks out to early purchasers, sign me up. I have zero complaints on the first one, but my eyesight isn't getting any better as I get older! :) Just let me know where to pay!
