Honest opinion? Design profile leaves a lot to be desired. The best way I can describe it is "looks out of place". Doesn't seem to flow with any particular lines and doesn't look "balanced".

However that is just my opinion.

I always appreciate your opinion my friend...but for this project, I need to switch hat from "car styling" to "product design"...form follows function is the prime directive...

Is that an air tent? Those are very light and strong...not sure if you've read back on my design intent but I'm trying to solve a short bed camping problem that hasn't been 100% addressed out in the market, yet...

1-hard sided
2-sleeps two adults perpendicularly
3-low enough (83") to park in 7' garage door
4-sleeps one but with lounge/work space separate from bed
5-self sufficient, 4 season with AC + diesel heat powered by Ecoflow Delta 2
6-lightweight

Moon Lander is close but too tall to satisfy #3...is clamp on cap design so insulating/sealing bed will be DIY...being low and aero is important to me...
Yeah, the Flated is an inflatable camper shell. Let me know if you solve the issue you mentioned, definitely it will be a big hit since there almost nothing in the market.

I don't currently have mass or even limited production plans at this time but I do think there's a small market for this....we'll see how my prototype goes and then figure out a way to share the love...

Who knows, maybe a fab shop with the right infrastructure might borrow my idea and save me having to build it lol...

I'm curious to see where you take this - as I get older, sleeping on the ground is less and less attractive - something like this, that can be easily removed but is small enough is really intriguing to me.

Its just a simple CAD exercise, right Sid?

As I get older, sleeping in a RTT is just as bad as a tent on the ground when you figure in the ladder and setup...rain gets tent wet means packing it away wet...means setting it back up again when home to dry...PIA...I'd prefer to bring along a quick pop up ten with cot than a RTT now...but then again...nothing beats a ready set hard cab set up and that's why I've been working on this project...

BTW...where I'm taking this is on the beach...

I've never quite understood the desire for a RTT - I guess you don't have to fight with anything on the ground but they are incredibly expensive and I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable sleeping that high off the ground. But to each his own I guess.

Your idea has a lot of merit I think - keep us posted on how it goes.

What I dislike about an RTT is that once set up, you are unable to move without breaking camp...now, I can pull up to any camp site and drive away just as quickly...

Approximately 35sq feet squeezed in with 1800wh LiPo battery, porta potty, diesel heater, 5K 400watt AC, cloth storage below bed platform, waste basket, cook ware storage under diesel heater, 35" TV fold up, work table for laptop, windows on all sides, an a pair of 130watt thin solar panels on the roof = 260 watt...fridge will stay in the back seat where it is now...

@OFC Ranger this is what I was working on but not going to happen until I get connections with some people with serious fab skills...definitely full CF or composite honeycomb panels...

Installation of my Wolfbox G850 12" mirror dashcam (4K front, 1850 rear) is complete...might need getting used to if there's bright reflections coming through competing with the digital image...I suppose if it''s bright out, then turning off the camera image would fix that...otherwise, pretty good setup...looking forward to further experiencing this dashcam...

hey, I bought the G900 myself. How did you remove the factory mirror and what did you use for mounting the Wolfbox?
Do you have any pictures of the back side of the dashcam?
