Probably going to buy a travel trailer, and thinking about installing a set of gauges to the A pillar. Any recommendations on what gauges to add, and brand?

Save yourself money and grief trying to route/run/attach gauges.
Get a Scan Gauge 3...it monitor dozens of info points, including the coolant temp and the important trans fluid temps.
Check their webs site for a complete list of what it monitors. I tow a travel trailer, and have one...pretty much what I look at now instead of instrument panel.

Here is what I did. Boost, oil pressure and voltage. The gauge pod is from Autometer, the gauges are from GloShift (they have seven switchable back light colors).

Note: I purchased a special T-fitting for an Ecoboost Mustang that allowed connection to the intake manifold for boost without cutting lines. I could not find a T adapter that would screw into the metric oil pressure switch port and would provide a 1/8 NPT port for the gauge sensor and a metric port for the factory switch. I wound up using a sandwich adapter that goes between the oil filter and block to provide a place for the gauge sensor. Since I have a Tremor and have no plans to add any additional lighting I removed the upfitter switch panel and picked up the tray.

Use the Ford Performance tuning box while towing to display additional gauges.

Here is another option. This is the Torque app. You need to use a BT
OBD2 2.jpg
OBD2 adapter in the diagostics socket. It has multiple parameters that you can set up on different pages. Their is also another new app that works with Android auto, DashOBD but the parameters available are somewhat limited.

This is what I use. Just wish someone would come up with the PID info for the oil pressure, so I could add it to the Torque app. I know it's available because Forscan can show it.

How difficult is this to install? Do you have to install sensors for this to read trans temp, coolant, boost pressure etc? Or does it just obtain all the information from the trucks computer? Sorry, I’m very green to this, but really like the idea of being able to monitor the important data. Thanks!

I have been using that on a few of my past trucks now for 8+ years, I love it

Just plugs into the OBD2 port.

Trans temps are not available yet but I was told in 2024 they would be adding that data.

Unless you like the looks of A-pillar gauges, there are better ways to display gauges with newer OBD + iPad technologies...

Also, I don't believe it's possible for A-pillar anything due to airbag...that's why there's no grab handle on driver side...
