Hey, I'm good, I would rather have the input, I have made changes based on the input I get from the members here, it really helps when you have more eyes on it because everybody sees things differently.

I was just doing the "Murhpys Law" thing, great idea.... but too late, ha! I wasn't planning on any further revisions on the stick, depends upon the feedback from the updated one.

Although I did get the "IDLING" in on this version.
I don't see any recalls coming for this product. ? ?

The new stick is much easier to read...I don't see the holes serving any purpose since I'm gauging the level by the number markings...
Do you have the new stick? I had no idea they were being shipped out yet. Can you see the trans fluid on the new ones better than the old one? For clarity's sake, my issue was never with the text markings, it is with the thin fluid which is difficult to see.

I ordered an additional 100 of them (minimum order) to cover the previous sticks produced and in case there are any rejects out of the 300 I just received, the first batch of 80 had quite a few rejects I wouldn't sell.

I need to also order some tubes or boxes for them, so, coming up sorta soon, I will ship out the updated sticks, probably a few weeks depending upon the supplier.

Just wanted to chime in here that yesterday I replaced my transmission pan with an upgraded PPE extra capacity pan, as I sometimes tow heavy things long distances and wanted some extra cooling from the trans pan. If anyone is curious if it's possible to a) suck out most of the fluid from the trans through the MBS dipstick tube and b) re-fill the trans through the same tube I'm here to tell you that it works great!

I pumped 5 full quarts out of the trans through the dipstick tube using a small hand-held pump I picked up at O'Reilly's a few years ago. Then I dropped the factory pan and did not spill a drop getting it out from under the truck. The pan still had a little over a quart in it, but it's deep enough to maneuver it past the various frame bits without spilling anything. Once I had the new pan installed, I re-filled the trans with the original 6 quarts that came out of it, plus 2 more as the new pan has more capacity. I just used a simple funnel that fit right into the top of the dipstick tube, and I found that I could pour in the fluid just about as fast as I can pour oil into the oil fill on the top of the valve cover. The dipstick tube is plenty large enough in diameter to let the fluid pour right in. Again, I did not spill a single drop.

For anyone curious about the total extra capacity, I wound up adding 1 more full quart after starting the engine, letting it idle, then driving it until reaching operating temp. This got the fluid level to be bang in the center between 4 and 5 on the stick.

So if you are contemplating upgrading your trans pan to one of the PPE pans with extra capacity, plan on at least 9 quarts of trans fluid to re-fill.

Thank you for that info! I have the pan sitting in my garage just haven't felt like getting out in the cold too change it yet. Plus was going to wait till 30k then do a fluid & filter change at that time. Truck just rolled 15k so not ready yet. Sure is nice to easily check trans fluid during an oil change thanks to Mike!

You know, it never fails.

The guy who:
I have spent lots of time on this. Testing and fitting. Definitely, never take the easy way on anything.
One week his design is this:

Then someone named Brafe Racer posts up pictures of my design on FB, guess what happened, the guy who "spent lots of time on this. Testing and fitting. Definitely, never take the easy way on anything"

WTF, if I did not know better I would say that is just like what a Chinese company would do, see a design, steal it, make it and sleep well at night.

Good luck Bryan, your business tactics are amazing, I have to say, I have zero respect for you as a person and ton of respect for your cut throat business practices, you should have a Shark as a company logo.

Well folks, sorry to sound so s#!tty, but I have spent a lot of time and effort, I figured some social media post would bring something like this on.

Is he on FB?

I'm sure lots of us will be happy to point out where he spent his time coming up with the design.

Wow! That sucks! Can someone just buy your product and reverse engineer it right off the bat? Isn't there a period of protection for intellectual properties? Have you patented your design, Mike?

Not to worry Mike.....when you started this project you let us follow along with all the procedures, trial fittings, the manufacturing process, the rejects, the successes, even down to buying the tools and machines needed to make your Sticks.
He has posted nothing except a few photos of what looks, suspiciously, like yours.
That coupled with your background in autos/Honda Racing, as a machinist, leads me to believe that your is far and away the best way to go.
I do not look at what an item costs, and am more than willing to spend what is needed for a quality product, and not a knock-off.
When one considers what we spend on these trucks for mods that are, many times, unnecessary, the few bucks spent on your Stick is not only worth it, but, in my opinion, a necessity.

Fair enough, but you contradicted yourself, you said "spent a lot of time", you show a pic, then the next pic is a totally different design, it was probably just coincidence then that your new design was in the same location as my design.

The sense of timing is what led me to think what I did, someone post my pics on your topic, then a short time later your dipstick is redesigned to the same location as mine, I of course assumed what happened.

I retract any offensive comments I have said, I am sorry to have slandered you, I was reacting to something I thought was obvious.

I will mind my own business.

I appreciate the website visits.

Slander is a sad "tactic" to use. Our products have nothing the same other than they are both flexible transmission dipsticks.

A3C - Red, cable style dipstick, 8AN Stainless line and fittings, 2 point aluminum flat bracket with relocation point for harness.
FS - Yellow, flat style dipstick, 10AN heat barrier stainless line and fittings, 1 point aluminum black bracket that mounts to a different mounting point.

Not that it is anyone's business, but, I saved 4" per kit from my spool of line by moving my mount point from one side to the other. Has absolutely nothing to do with "your design" or rather B&M's design if we are being ridiculous about this.

There are very few people on this planet that care about their respect and a random on the internet is not one of them.

I am building business, not a product.
Do your thing, good luck to you and leave me out of it bud.
Both "Sticks" are basically variations of the dipsticks used for many years on vehicles, but have been mostly done away with for various reasons. Different materials, yes, but basically just a way to measure fluid.
And, there are just a few ways to route the tubes/sticks due to limited space.
The biggest set back between the two is that in one case, Mike let us follow along with the entire process, photos, his opinions, his receiving advice from us, leading up to a final, and very worthwhile, needed, product.
Not to take away from your Stick, but you basically just popped up with your variation, threw a price out, and bingo, another Stick.
Comes down too, we know Mike, his background, and the process used.
Not to underestimate your abilities, but until your new post a few minutes ago, we knew nothing of your background or ability
There may not be a huge difference between the products purpose, but there is a lot of difference in the "history" if you will, between the two.

Hey, I should have not said anything, your website showed one location down by the intake, then it switched to up by the A/C line after my pics got posted on your topic, I reacted, I should have thought better.

Good luck.
