Remote Transmission Dip Stick Aftermarket Support?

Not to deviate the thread from its purpose, mind me asking what service was done on your first transmission prior to it giving up the ghost? Also have you altered how you maintain your new one?

I followed Ford's service schedule...which is to say wait till 150k but starting acting up around 90k... inspite of my best effort to save it by changing fluid and filter, it still decided to grenade itself at 95k...

Glad you are happy with it, and yes, that's the second one out there, reading it in bright light should be improved.

Got me curious about the scuff marks?

In an email you sent i could get either a new full price or a QC stick at reduced price. Responded with i did not matter to me. Price payed was that of a QC stick, but did not see any marks on the outside of the stick tube. From email you used first, middle and end of 2nd batch to check fit of the batch.
VERY happy with the stick i received. All most want to stop by ford dealer and ask them to check Transmission level but then say wait i got this, pop hood and use Fitxstick to check it.

You are referring to the QC test fit stick, I fit the first, middle and last stick in each batch to my truck just to verify proper fitment, but #60 (the very last one in batch 1) I drove to heat soak to make sure it held form and does NOT touch the firewall, it was just fine!

So initially I offered the last stick in the first batch for $10 less, but I decided to keep it as a historical stick, I plan on keeping a sample from each batch, so down the road I can see if something changes or just to have known good production parts as a example.

So I did not catch the fact you wanted the lesser stick, oh well, I guess I did not add up what you sent to see it was $10 less and of course I sent a regular new stick. I may be able to fab up stuff, but the whole paperwork end of this is not my strong point, (as some here have seen) so, you ended up with a discounted stick?

Take that $10 you saved and find something positive to do with it:

Save a beer from getting warm, a coffee from getting cold, or pass it on to someone who needs it more than you, your kids, a waiter/waitress who does a stellar job, find something good to do with it, that's my 2 cents, only worth a penny!

No I wanted the new stick. I don't know where the confusion came. But when I talked to you you told me that I was getting one of the news sticks if I owe you $10. I will send it to you. I was just confused where I had 2 transactions on PayPal that were refunded. And then the money was taken back out on another transaction. I don't know. I think PayPal is kinda screwed. But nevertheless, you told me that I was getting one of the newer sticks. Hey, as long as it gives me a proper level of my transmission fluid. I don't give a rat's butt what it is new or old ?

Lets let the dust settle, and let Mike continue doing what he's doing the best...supplying us with a great product !!!
As he has posted, when he gets a good supply of the new sticks, he has all our info as to who has the older originals, and he'll contact us to send the newer version out.
He's getting new posts daily about new orders, and I'm sure he's busy trying to make sticks and fill orders.....

like I said above. I don't care whether it's new or old stick. As long as it reads a level on my transmission fluid. That's all I care about. I don't know exactly what the difference is between the new and the old. But who cares. what I care about is that it is an excellent product brought to market by somebody that cares to put out something good.
I cannot even imagine The Time spent to get this correct. Mike has put a lot of time in the development stage To make sure it functions correctly.

It certinally is a bit confusing, when the new batch of sticks showed, I updated the remaining unsold sticks from the first batch to the new batch stick spec.

The QC stick I had offered was the test fit stick that I would have updated.

The refunding was another problem with Paypal.
