Looks like a B&M. I originally had a B&M, and although it worked, it is a generic fitment for all the Ford trans. It was adequate, but not perfect.
When Mike started making his, and everyone saw what it was going to be, I got on the list, ordered, and got one....night and day difference. It is exceptional in quality, fitment, and accuracy...
Mike, you have nothing to worry about !!!
(P.S..........My B&M is up for sale in classified :giggle:)

Pretty much what he said.

You're paying for quality, and you'll get quality with the Mikestick.

On a different note, I have to send out a thanks to PltFX4, Richard, he actually did find a hydraulic hose saw for $200, I have been looking at old wore out saws for $1100-$1500, put a message up here "hey if anybody knows of a saw for sale let me know"

He took the time to look and found one cheap, it was a distance from me so there was $175 shipping but it is such a sweet saw, looks great, the paint on the pulleys where the V belt rides is not worn off, it must have just sat around somewhere getting little use.

I thought it was a scam and I would get a box of bricks, Richard forwarded me his number, I thought "it's certinally worth a try" Paypal would refund me if it was bogus.

I call, the old guy was great, he was fun to talk to, (I say old respectfully, I'm 62 he sounded 82) apparently Richard had called to see if it was still available, he had told him about what my project was and how I'm starting a new business. The old guy was happy to see it go to me, we talked for a long time, he crated it up and shipped it out.

I can only say "Thank you very much Richard!!"

Stuff like this really makes me appreciate this community, you guys are great.

I even bought it a new cart!

Totally agree - I think these speak to different consumers. If price is your biggest concern, there are a couple of options, but if you want quality and attention to detail, I don't think the FitzStick can be beat.

With that said, options are always good!

I like the Fitzstick. I'm not interested in the other ones cause I really do intend to keep the truck 10+ years and want quality parts for the long haul. With everything I'm throwing at my truck the issues it has should all be mitigated.

Today was a sunny day, a warm day and my other chores were few (yay Instant pot roast dinner).

My MBS install went without a hitch (okay, had to string some extensions to the impact elbow to pop the stock dip stick loose). If it hasn't been emphasized before, get that loose then put the mounting clip on before proceeding.

Otherwise I had no, el cero, nill, naught, annullarsi issues.

Rating = zero bandages. No interference with other components, looks like it shoulda been there all along.

recived my Fitzstick yesterday need to get some time to install new pan and stick. Now I have to order fluid and filter. To those who have changed filter and fluid how much fluid should I order? Fitzstick is Packaged extremely well and looks like it was manufactured by a big company not a small shop. Can’t wait to install and check fluid level the easy way. Thanks again Mike for all the hard work on this project.

Finally got mine installed today.

Really nothing I can say that hasn't already been said, but I'll say it anyway.

Great quality, great fit, relatively easy installation, and FAR superior to the Ford factory item.

Many, many thanks to @Fitzmotor :like:

Edit: And after taking it for a drive to get things warmed up, it turns out that I'm more than a quart low from the factory

Wow Ford.

If you're going to make it an exercise in futility for the average owner to check something, at least make sure it's full before you ship it out.

Mine was closer to 2 qrts low, can you imagine just how much money Ford is saving by short sticking every 10R80 tranny going out the door?

Update:

I have almost enough to get started on the next batch, much sooner than expected.

Just waiting on bulk hose and fittings, the goal is 300 assembly's.

The only thing that has changed is I got the sticks custom made, (instead of me marking them) I increased the the amount of lines in the fluid scale, added "IDLING" to the text.

Everything else is the same, hopefully within a week, maybe two, more will become available.

I would prefer to be able to just put up a link, this whole list thing is bonkers, it is hit or miss, I send out PM's and some respond, some don't, so I wait a few days, if no response, I move on down the list. I'm afraid they wont see the PM, then I have moved on down the list after a few days and they are like "hey I missed it" (it's already happened actually)

I have been working on the whole manufacturing process from start to finish, it's sorted out pretty well now.

I have to thank everyone for the input, feedback and especially the purchases, keeps me able to buy more, build more, sell more, and have happy Ranger customers.?
