What did you do to your Ranger today?

The oem broncos mount just like the rangers. I have a set i was going to make work but actually welding to chassis. Ive also had the full weight of the truck and slid off them when it was the last resort. They got bashed in but did not buckle and saved my rockers. Im not talking out my butt. Theyre strong.

its a weak and poor mount setup it will end up causing damage on the right hit... there is a reason every single rock slider in existence is on the frame and not on the cab of the vehicle..

if its getting bent then its only stopping one impact and wont continue the abose over time... the sliders i had on my old truck got abused every weekend out on trails that i shouldnt have been on lol. never bent never budged.

No problem. Store manager is very sharp and on top of things. We discussed this with no bad feelings while the tires were being swapped. Crews usually do great work and it's obvious they do care. This was a young kid (perhaps new) working under busy conditions and made a mistake.

Again theyre tougher than you think. I slid on them a lot more than i should have. Even where the one that got ripped out did no damage to the frame. Think of them as installed on a jeep unibody. Now are they as strong as real dom tubing solid welded to chassis. No, but they are good to have until said time. Nor will most people ever need them.

i know its not a ranger since mine is now gone but the truck didnt last 2 hours before i tested my wheels and trimmed the flares to make them not rub lol.

also anyone got tips to remove a smoke smell? mine isnt bad but its not good either.

They have odor bombs that you turn your ac in reserculate and full blast for 10 minutes. Also change cabin air filter id say also with simple clean with the ducts opening too to kill the scent and bacteria associated. Get a good carpet cleaner and a spit cleaner. That will get rid of it all. But bomb will eliminate a good amount.

thanks. been working on what i can through the week this weekend is steam cleaner and bomb to clean it out hopefully fully but wait and see.

After waiting for the black front and rear emblems to come in the mail and waiting for the bad weather to clear away and work I finally got the new grille installed no more chrome on the front! Pretty happy with it going to knock out the rear emblem tomorrow

I grew up in mid 80s, you either had chrome or wanted it. Times change but I still prefer it. To each their own.

Yay! Yes they got over a foot on top. Skis get waxed at end of season for storage so only have to remove excess and prep for slopes.

I do my own ski maintenance and have an old school hot waxer. I use one like this.
