Belt Tensioner SNAPPED OFF

I'm covered under powertrain warranty! They're saying the tensioner bolt broke (?), and that none of my modifications required removal of the tensioner, so I'm good! Parts a week out, another week for repair. They're "trying to find" a loaner. Funny cos I saw a brand new tremor super duty out front, and a 24 mustang in the showroom... anyway. Good news!

Well , i went out and checked mine (PITA to get it off and back on but hey , i gotta be able to sleep tonight , right?) Anyway , mines all good according to my little DIY home metallurgical lab and im convinced your mods did in fact cause this issue ... ima sleep like a baby now, and so should you since FORD is gona cover it. The "loaner vehicle" is the key here though , you wont have a true victory without it , you already got the win , dont give up on the trophy (tell them its really just a long test drive since your ready to trade anyway )

Very happy that they got it covered for you, also just an fyi they can't just give u any new vehicle they have for a loaner. It has to be in the ford courtesy transport program so on that front they are being truthful. Source being I used to work at a ford dealer (yuck I know)

Indeed. I wish @RANGER_PRIDE was here. He'd tell me my concerns are laughable and I could really use that confidence when the call comes.

These faults ultimately and exclusively led to the serpentine belt tensioner's catastrophic failure and the subsequent damage. ?️‍

Don't forget to add there was a potential threat to life and grave injury. That could turn it into a recall, or a class action lawsuit.
