Took advantage of some Labor Day sales and finally made my Truxedo CS rack useful. Added a Yakima LockNLoad B platform (60x54 inch) and a Yakima Major Shady 270 degree awning. This leaves me with a tonneau cover that I can open up under the towers/rails, and plenty of rack space too. Installation was easy peasy stock with the exception of the t-slot nuts for the awning that I had to grind down to fit the truxedo slots. The platform is attached with the LockNLoad crossbar clamps, but they needed the plastic on the u-bolts removed to work. So far, very happy!

Which tonneau cover do you have? I have the Ford-branded one, and would like to do something similar to what you have, but most of the set-ups I've seen don't seem to work real well with a tri-fold.

It’s a Bakflip MX4. The first two panels fold entirely open. The third folds up but is stopped by the front cross bar. I haven’t tried the prop rods but I’d be a bit surprised if it opens far enough for them to work as without the rack. Works great for my needs so far though.

Finally after 4 years dropped the spare tire and checked the air pressure. Tire rim was filled with road crap and valve cap was stuck on. Lucky thing I checked because the tire only had 22lbs of pressure in it.o_O

That’s better than no air pressure.

Didn't pay a crap ton for it and it showed up very quickly with the install hardware @LevittownFordParts.com

Yes yes I'll clean the bay when it cools down a bit. Always weird about doing that with so many electronics etc. I'll at least dust it and give it a gentle wipe down. Eventually....

Hose that thing down. Just with household pressure, not a power washer. I hose down all my vehicle engines when they get thier annual handwash and wax. I usually start it up and let it warm up after doing it. Never had any issues. Not even rusted plugs. :like:

I've been known to spray some mild cleaner like Simple Green on my engine then rinse easy with garden hose set to "shower" setting.
No problems at all.

Which ratio for Simple Green? Concentrate, 1:10, or 1:30?
