I don't know if mine do or not. My money is on the do. Here's why. I bought a set of Bronco tires and rims with TPMS already inside. Truck picked them right up. Picked up a nail, and it showed which tire, and it was true... 25% chance of being right, I guess.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
I rotated my tires last week, just went out and lowered the RL by 5psi, drove around the neighborhood with the pressure on the display. The RL tire showed 25 psi and the rest 30, so it does it on it's own. (at least in my 21 XLT)

You will need to drive around 20 miles before the system will reset itself. This has been standard on every vehicle I have ever owns with TPMS.

There is no need to pay a shop to recalibrate the TPMS.

Mine have always relearned through 3 rotations, 4th one coming up in a few weeks when it hits 25k.

I've never paid attention to how long it took for the process.

The TPMS system will auto relearn new positions after driving a bit. (Typically 10 - 20 minutes)
The only time you will need to d a recalibration is when 1 or more sensors are replaced.

This has not been my experience.

A month after I bought the truck, I added 6 new wheels/tires, all with brand new TPMS. The dealer never had the truck. I dropped off the wheels and picked them up the next day, then installed them on the truck myself. After a drive, they all connected.

A year later, I ruined one of those rims and had a sketchy tire shop swap the tire and TPMS over to a new rim. They never installed the TPMS, so I dropped the new rim/tire off at the dealer for a new TPMS. Again, they never had the truck. I installed the tire on the truck, went for a long drive and it accepted the new TPMS in the system.

That's good to know. I would typically default to a reprogram as a courtesy. Nice to save a step!

Seems like this comes up way too often. Too many threads. I have the answer to end all TPMS questions. You have to coat the valve stem in 303 Grayfeeeen. This also prevents the need to rotate the tires so, nothing matters anymore.

Our 2018 Chevy Equinox was...I run 2 sets of wheels and tires for all my vehicles...every spring and fall I would have to relearn them everytime I switched out....$22?? at the tire shop/dealer....so I bought a TPMS tool on Amazon for $20??...payed for itself first time I used it!??....as for the Ranger...previous owner put aftermarket wheels....with no TPMS....when I buy new winter tires next month I will be getting TPMS installed....will probably just buy another tool as well!??

Thanks, great link. So, how to we know if the ranger has Automatic Relearn? Because some ppl say it does, doesn't that mean all rangers do?
Can't help you there...I don't know. But I suspect they all do have automatic relearn...???

All of the Chrysler/Jeep, GM, and Ford vehicles I have owned with TPMS have always relearned on their own. It usually takes about 15 to 20 miles of driving .

Not surprising. It's not that difficult to do.
