Thank you for your feedback!Yes! Truck and trailer move as one unit in winds. No sway.
Thank you for your reply, you've confirmed my choice of the Andersen!Same here for us. 28’ and 6000lbs loaded.
I just bought a E2 roundbar, rated for 6,000 lbs, these things are heavy, assume that added weight has an impact on tongue weight, I recently towed 1400 miles without a WDH and didn't have any issues except for some up and down rocking owing to pavement with dips.E2 Round bar here with 800# bars.
I prefer the design and ease of use.
I just received my Andersen hitch today! Unfortunately I won't have time to install it until the middle of next week.Thank you for your reply, you've confirmed my choice of the Andersen!
I don't understand - it comes with a 7 hole shank that looks to be 12" long, the only thing it lacks is the ball and I have one.Just keep in mind, that if it is for travel trailer use, more than likely you'll need to pony up for the longer shank.
Our Rangers sit quite high in the rear end, so you've usually got to get the ball down level with the travel trailers hitch and there's not enough adjustment in most all of the standard shanks to get that done.I don't understand - it comes with a 7 hole shank that looks to be 12" long, the only thing it lacks is the ball and I have one.
Luck - I think it's skill, lol. Folks here were a tremendous help in educating me which helped to make some good choices. thanks to all.True enough, the Nobo's are a little higher. You might get lucky.
You both are lucky...I had to get a 10 hole shank to get the hitch head low enough. 2 wheel drive, but have a Roadmaster Active Suspension System on the back which raised the rear 1/2 inch, and slightly larger tires, another 3/4 inch.Luck - I think it's skill, lol.
