I should not have waited 4 months before installing them on my 2023 Lariat…… They are great!!! I’ve had them before on three of my super duties where they were definitely needed but now I have two bad knees, waiting on two knee replacement surgeries, and the Factory step was way too high and you have to be careful not to bump your head into the roof while climbing in.”” Frank at Stage 3”” is the man to buy them from.

Totally agree on Stage3Motorsports. I bought mine from them and they literally came that same week. Talk about quick shippers.

Currently, I actually don't get a ton of benefit from the steps. The truck is stock height and I am tall enough that my butt reaches the seat bolster just barely. I think over the long haul it would have done a job on the drivers seat (getting in and out, sliding my butt on and off that bolster), but it wasn't too much of a struggle physically, even while healing with a new steel hip.

My wife is 5'0" and while fit still had an upper body workout getting in and out, so for her, it is a welcome addition as the truck sits right now.

I plan to do a level with new shocks, so for my wife it would have become a real deterrent for her wanting to "take the truck" when we were going anywhere together. Even for me, I think the steps will make the newly leveled truck a real dream.

ahhh, you guys. Now I HAVE(ha) to buy a set for my tremor. I can get in on stock height without the steps, but the wife and kids aren't quite there.

If you decide to pull the trigger, you almost certainly won’t regret it. Good luck.

Truck is looking great Robert! Tires worked out after all and you were able to minimize the rubbing?

Installed mine a few weeks ago. I added the stainless steel trim strips AMP sells for other models of their power steps, really sets the edge of the power step off. Really work well. Pricey but work well for an old fart enthusiast.

Thanks! I removed both plastic honeycomb type blocks. And this coming weekend I will secure the felt liner back. Some months ago I purchased a raptor type grill with lights but I decided I will not be installing it so I will put it up for sale.

Oh I just bought one off another forum member. It took less than an hour to take the OEM off and install the new one. If it’s the set from Stage3 it’s totally plug n play. I really like it a lot better over the OEM XLT grille. But you have the chrome look going - you know if it is the ford performance OEM I think you can take the chrome ring off your old one and put it on the new raptor grille and have the best of both worlds. Or you could plastidip the raptor grille in chrome or wrap the “Ford” in chrome. Just some ideas ?

This will keep that broken sill plate down.

Did your sill plate not lay down flat with the remaining clips? I broke the same small clip on the end like you did, but the three remaining hold the sill plate down flat.

I have the SS trim as well. It also prevent shin rash if you rub against the rough powder coated edge.
