They have a huge cult following just like the Jeep forum. I just couldn't stomach the blindness to the 3rd Gens faults where they'd make up every excuse in the book trying to defend it.

What's funny is I remember someone here posting they were over there on TW when the Ranger first came out. They were all laughing about how it had a little 4cy turbo and how unreliable they are and blah, blah, blah. Now they're getting one and I'd love to see what those same clowns are saying. lol
Yeah they hate everything not Toyota
This place and most others are pretty respectable to personal choice. Sure, there’s ball breaking. But, that’s about it.

I’ve enjoyed the forum for 2.5 years, but the whining is becoming annoying. I think we need one transmission complaint thread as a sticky and drop all complaint threads there.

I miss all the emoticons tacomaworld had. Other than that (and a few really good people) it was a dumpster fire.

A dumpster fire that I actively encouraged and precipitated in until getting perma banned, then made a whole slew of dupe accounts to troll with

I joined October 2021 before I could plant my behind in my Ranger that was 8K miles away. ? But certainly a good choice. As Dave stated I don't do all the other social media, waste of life. This is my social media. Thankful for all here.

How is R5G like peanut brittle? It takes a whole lot of sweetness to keep all the nuts together!

Thanks for all your work Dave, and thanks to all of the members for just making R5G a great place!

Corporate drone. Dilbert's world is alive & well.
Not a huge social media guy either. But I enjoy this forum. Lot of good info.! And a lot of good folks. Well 'cept those two assholes. (People reading quickly thinking "Who is he talking about?! Better not be me! Let me search his posts." It was a joke people. Relax.)

Been on two other forums in my life. First was when I bought the Nissan POS. Excited about the truck. Same as here, joined the forum to learn more about it, etc. Started off pretty cool, until the POS began having issues and me being me, I posted every single issue on the forum. Noticed fairly quickly some guys didn't take too kindly to my posts. Fan boys will be fan boys I guess. So I eventually stopped visiting the forum. Truck was so bad that when the warranty ran out I spent $300+ on the official repair manual. Didn't need the forum after that.

Next forum? After I bought my Focus ST. That one was fairly good.... but some definite assholes there. And I ended up pissing a couple of them off. Unintentionally. So I eventually just stopped visiting. Didn't need their stupidity in my life.

My opinion? This forum is gold plated. And it's because of the members. Clearly people who buy Ford Rangers are nicer, smarter, and just more fun than are the folks that buy that other inferior brand shit.:like:

Tell me about it!

One good thing about the accident is she said to me I know this is going to cost you some money now so don't worry about the ring for now. :whew: Then I just shelled out $3,800 in sales tax, vehicle tax and reg fees so I'm good for a while longer.?

I kid but she's a keeper and she deserves one just for putting up with me all these years.?
Congratulations!!! A little over two years for me but seems like a lifetime. This forum is great compared to the other ones.

Dave you really should let Annie make an honest woman of you, sort of.. If/when you get her a ring cut your man card in half and give half to her. Then if you tie the knot give her the other half right before the wedding… On the first night of your honeymoon after she’s passed out from exhaustion, retrieve both halves of your card, tape them back together and put it in your wallet.. That’s what I did, I pull it out at night when I know she’s sound asleep and smile admiring it…
When questioned then the deer in headlights look “What? you must have lost it in all of the excitement “ ? I’m at 25 years and counting!!

Remember Andy, I already lost my man card when I installed my damper.

I think the other way around. You did what you wanted to do but the damper haters seem like posers who have a restrictive card just beating their chests ? That’s ok they’re just trying to fill the void..

The time does fly by though , seams like only yesterday i joined up and started sniffing my oil , and found out the do's and donts of dampers , made fun of Tracys parking even though shes better at it than me , all in fun of course ...which i try to always have ...which is why the time go's fast , because "Time flys when your having fun" ... Unless your a frog , then "Time is fun when your having flys "...
Sorry...
