I did the research, spent 6 months reading and talking to many people. Found the folks at Stage3 Motorsports to be super knowledgeable, so I bought my parts from them
-Eibach 2.0 stage 1 level kit front and rear coil overs . Got rid of the FX4 suspension.
-SPC UCA’s because why put on suspension and larger tires and aftermarket rims and not complete the package, easier to adjust for alignment and makes the whole suspension package make sense.
-ICON Vector 6 rims
-Falken AT3W went up one size from OEM tire size.

I don’t care what anyone says. Night and day difference from stock. I almost got rid of it and went back to a full size truck when I first bought it. Nose dive, harsh over bumps, very uncomfortable.

what I wanted was a level truck that was comfortable to be my daily driver. I’m very impressed with how it handles and drives now. I always laugh to myself and wonder what the engineers at Ford were thinking. I assume none of them drove the Ranger stock for any length of time.

How are you liking those new tires? The truck looks great this way.

Thank you for showing your latest improvement!
I'm in the process of ordering an OME 2.5" suspension kit and looking at either Firestone AT2 tires or BF Goodrich KO2's. Might go with Firestone since they're lighter. Same thing with my truck it's my daily driver and I can't wait to improve the ride. One of the routes to work has been under construction for over a year so I'm dealing with uneven, rough terrain for a while now haha.

They were thinking about how to hit that 7500# tow rating (and stay level) that's why the rear end is so high.

As for the shock tuning, who knows.

Is that a misprint or did you go to rear coil-overs? Photos and details if you did please.

So far 5k miles and are great. I didn’t go to the 285, I stayed at 265/70

Lol. I just didn’t want another full size truck and the Ranger with Lariat trim has all the creature comfort stuff I wanted. It hauls our camper with ease and fits in my garage. My whole point in sharing was that I was so disappointed about 2 months after I bought it, the ride was harsh and I just couldn’t get comfortable in the seat, like I was always leaning forward. I spent 4K all in, it was well worth it for how it drives now. The upper control arms one could debate all day long if they were needed. For me, it was a no brainer as it levels out the UCA and the shop that aligned my truck in the end said I will recoup those dollars in not wearing out tires as fast, provided I rotate them every 5k.

Here was my thought. Once I replace coulovers, UCAs and found some awesome rims, tires can easily be changed from one to another if you don’t like the ride. So far, Falken At3W has been a great ride, no complaints. I am so impressed with the way the truck rides now, so the tires are just fine

I had a couple sets of Firestone AT2's on my old Sport Trac and liked them a lot.
Much cheaper than BFG's but not as off-roady. Will probably get them for the Ranger. Quiet for an A/T and good in snow. The Coopers I got don't seem to balance real well.

Here is the link to the coulovers package I bought. And no I am not affiliated with Stage 3 Motorsports. I just appreciated all the honest advice they gave me and answered all my questions, they seemed to know more about this stuff than anyone and have done/tested a bunch of mods for the Ranger. If anyone wants to buy the tires and rims or original coulovers front and rear or original UPCs. They are sitting here and most likely never go back on, so happy to sell them very reasonably. Truck had 15k in it when I did this

I did, it was part of the package.
Just a little bit of clarification...shocks or struts surrounded by a spring are referred to as Coilovers ( what you have on the front)......what you have on the rear. we call shocks with dust boots...?.....I like what you have done
sensible upgrades that will work well together....
