Coming up on 1 year since i traded in my Beloved Ranger for my Factory order 2022 Lariat V8 SCrew
with 3.31's and 21 fwy and 17 in town short trip ECO miles. **Actually on par exactly with my 2019 Ranger 2.3 turbo gas mileage.

Much more elegant interior than the Ranger with heated and A/C larger seats and storage. Love the ability to actually get into the bed with factory step up helper unlike the ranger and get Way more comfort and love the 12 inch screen. While I paid an additional $15,000 plus trade in for my 3 year newer 22 F150 I find it both more comfortable and money well spent. The only drawback is the Parking a large truck and it did not come with the Front Sensors for parking.

if you were getting 21/17 in a Ranger you were doing something wrong (unless heavily modified for off-roading).

My WORST average fuel economy in mine is about 21mpg, and that's wintertime city driving in a hilly city.

WASTING YOUR TIME WITH 2 EXTRA DOORS
Lately I keep looking at the F150 with a single cab and the V8. With a locking rear diff and a loud exhaust it would be a sweet hooligan truck. Not to mention the Ford Performance Supercharger.

Are the cooled seats still as loud as a hairdryer on the Fords?

Nice looking truck! I'd love to trade up for an F-150 as well, but just not in the cards right now. Plus I'm not sure I'd want to lose my garage parking... The sun here in New Mexico is no joke especially at my elevation.

The full size is tempting for sure as the mpg really isn't much better with the Ranger. The last full size I had was a 2017 GMC Sierra SLT Z71 package. It had the 5.3 V8 with the 8speed auto and I averaged 21.2 mpg with it. The Ranger Tremor is averaging 21.8 mpg so far. All manually calculated mpg's before anyone asks. I'm still driving the same routes I did with the GMC.

I've had cooled seats on my last 9 Ford's and I've never heard them. I have no idea what you're talking about. You must have heard a bad seat and decided on the spot that ALL Ford's must be loud.

Front sensors are eyeballs.
Rear sensors are eyeballs and mirrors.

Having driven full and mid size trucks all my life I see why you like the F150. For me it’s too big but to each their own.

as far as mileage goes, I think there is something subconscious that happens when you drive a full size truck. I am always much lighter on the pedal. I’ve heard it called “mechanical sympathy” not sure if that really describes it but when you’re piloting such a big machine you probably don’t zip around as aggressively as you feel you can when in a midsize. And it’s all that stop and go that kills the mileage. Steady state highway driving would be where you see where the ranger is more efficient.

Well it also has to do with four cylinders trying to do the job of 6/8.

I drove an F150 for work last summer. Best I could squeeze out of it was 21mpg in places where I'd get 25mpg pretty easily in my own Ranger. I totally get the mechanical sympathy part, but I also do the same with my Ranger. And definitely agree with the steady state highway driving. I've come very close to cracking 30mpg for that sort of thing in my Ranger under those conditions.

Only thing I'd want an F150 for would be if I was doing heavier work more frequently. The maneuverability of even a slightly smaller vehicle is not to be undersold.
