There's buildings and homes on both sides of the street still standing. This was one of the largest barns and you could squeeze through the doors on the far left to get a look inside. ?

On the other side of the street is this barn. It's on almost every video and brochure when you're searching for info about the Grand Tetons. It's one of the most photographed pictures and you can see why.

Farther down the road were a bunch of old buildings on what looks to be the farmland.

Annie was tired from yesterdays hiking so we did an easy-moderate one today. It was just under 6 miles and brings you up to two different lakes, Bradley and Taggart Lake. Just about half a mile from the trail head you could hear the water rushing down the mountain from all the snow melt. You cross the bridge to start going up to the lakes.

We went straight up to Bradley Lake first. You do pass by Taggart Lake which you can see off to your left and you're on the upper trail going up and then there's a lower trail you can take (which we did) coming back down. The lower trail brings you down the the waters edge and it was a lot easier on Annies knees.

Views on the way up to Bradley Lake.

Taggart Lake off to your left. It's to bad these are out in the middle of nowhere as they're so nice but you really can't use them because of the access (or lack of) to them.

Coming back down you see another nice view of Taggart Lake before you drop down to the shore.

The trail then brings you around the shoreline where there's just spectacular views in any direction.

So we're walking along and a couple were taking pictures of this moose. Sweet, I haven't seen a moose yet and the last time I saw one was over 20 years ago while snowmobiling up in Northern Maine. I was about 50' from her but she really didn't move much so these are the best pics I could get.

Then I saw something move behind her and spotted her cub. Now there's about 20 people around but I was about 10' in the woods standing on a log trying to get better pics and just kind of froze there so I didn't disturb her.

Next thing I hear is this guy saying thee's a bear coming down the trail towards us. o_O I back out of the woods and sure enough here comes what looks to be a 4-5 year old bear. He (thankfully) looked at all of us and started walking into the woods. But as he got closer the moose charged at him and the bear boogied up a tree like a rocket! I knew they were fast but seriously these can climb fast! The moose just went back to eating and the bear came down and went in the other direction, crossed the trail to get away from him and took off into the woods. It's super cool being able to see this first hand. Although Annie was petrified now (we did have bear spray along with several others) and needless to say after that hike we called it a day. lol

After climbing down he looks over at all of us then just walked out and crossed the trail and took off into the woods. He was probably about 30' away at this point from all of us. I figured I was safe as he wasn't going to eat the skinny Polack. ?

Great pics, Dave!
Thanks Brian! I have to say everyone we talked to was right in that this is one of the best NP out there. It's not all that large but the hikes and scenery are awesome and we still have so much to see.
