No butthurtness here - I'm almost actually glad the 6G is what it is - it means I have zero reason to even think about getting a 6G at this point. And the 6G will never have one really important feature my 5G has - it is paid for!

I love my 5G and will keep it if/until I find something that checks more boxes for me. The 6G certainly does not - and it removes some check boxes that my 5G has.....

Definitely happy with my 5G and it's paid for also. I still only have 6800 miles and it's 3 years old. I have it where I want it, almost. ? Just a couple more items, then I am done. ?? sure.....

I actually did a oil change at 2K due to age. Actually time for my next oil change.

And here I was thinking that I had low miles at 22k after 3.5 years ?

This article from MotorTrend states what most of us thought, that the SuperCab with a long bed will be announced later.

https://www.motortrend.com/news/2024-ford-ranger-steel-wheel-option/

So we can all cool our britches on the Poopy Bus. :)
Yeah, I thought it was well known that a SCAB had been seen in the wild, yet people started immediately whining about there not being one so they are buying a TuRD.
I get that they sell more Supercrews but in Europe and South America they have both of those plus a regular cab with a 7' bed. See the Sin Rumbo channel on YouTube.
Also I'd prefer a manual trans but that's an emissions standards thing.
Not a fan of basic steel wheels and I got an STX because the package cost less than a set of aftermarket wheels.

I'd consider a 6G when a Supercab is available if my 2020 is still worth a decent chunk of change to keep the payment about the same. I like it but on most highways it's like driving a vibrating lounge chair.

amen same here. gosh they were cheap too! i see them used selling for more than they did new. i did not appreciate the 4g trucks as much when they were new as i do now. phill and his gang made a tough lil truck.
I had an appreciation for them since 1992. My older brother had a manual 3.0L V6. It moved like a scared rabbit against the Tans Ams, Camaros and cars of the day.

True story, sorry, no pics. Back when I was learning to drive the teacher,
who was probably on drugs, said we would practice parallel parking.
So he took his time explained what to do &... I did it perfectly.
He was stunned! He made me do it a few more times, no issue.
The times I stopped & said there's room & the passenger says, WHAT??? 'No room there', are more then my fingers...
Cheers, a little early but it's virtual anyway! ?
When I was a kid, I learned to drive in a 1974 Ford LTD Country Squire station wagon. After parallel parking that rig for a few years, everything else seemed so easy.

This is all I needed to read to know that the 6G is not for me.

The new Ranger is slightly bigger than the current model, bringing it a little closer in size to the F-150. It's about two inches wider and two inches longer than the previous generation Ranger.
If it ever gets a 7G it'll be the same size as the F150. It's keeps growing and growing.

Took my driving test in a '78 Ford wagon. Piece of cake on the maneuverability portion. Plenty of windows to see everything. Who needs backup cameras. I think driving that for a few years helped with my 'feel' for where the corners of a vehicle are.
