This is all I needed to read to know that the 6G is not for me.

The new Ranger is slightly bigger than the current model, bringing it a little closer in size to the F-150. It's about two inches wider and two inches longer than the previous generation Ranger.
Thanks for pointing that out. I had 2 F150's and an F250 in the past. I got the Ranger because I didn't need or want a full size or HD pick up anymore. Sounds like the Ranger is suffering from size creep, just like the F150 did back in the '90s to early 2000's.

The part of this I don't agree with you on is the 5G being the better Ranger lol. Even though I own a 5G and like it, I wish I could go back in time and buy a new 4G.
Extra cab, 4.0, 4x4, and 5 speed manual.

Yup.

Well, let me temper that statement with a reservation about the 4.0 SOHC engine.

Did they ever resolve the jackshaft issues with it?

If not, then I'll just go back in time and never sell my 1989 that I had.

I had an '07 Regular cab with the 2.3.
I'd still have it if I did proper maintenance to it in the first 1-3 years of ownership. It suffered in it's later years, and played catch up as it got older. Live & learn....not making the same mistakes with the 5G.

A lot of the Toyota comments on 6G are from a handful of guys that copy and paste their comments across multiple threads (mods should look at Latour).

But, the degree of nitpicking over there is still pretty impressive. Don’t know why everyone is whining so much. Very few surprises with the reveal. Would be interested to know what early reactions were like on this site back in 2018/19. Hopefully there was more excitement?

Truth! Just the other day I parallel parked in one shot. I don't want bigger.

The way its going over on 6G, they might as well link to Toyota's website. Jeez.

After what I read earlier today, makes me sort of feel that stumbling across my new 23’ Tremor two weeks ago today was serendipitous.
I feel the same way with my 2019(purchased 4/2020) and all the deleted stuff with 0% interest plus the almost $9000 off MSRP... did I mention the deleted stuff?

I actually like the way the 6g looks amd I definitely like the 2.7L twin turbo, and that raptor version, wow! However, I am not rich and I am practical. So my 5g that I still love will be my daily until it can no longer do its job and then I will be in the market for another truck.

Well, shoot. I didn't get that kind of deal. Huge score on your part! I think I'll just stick to the part where 2023 is the last generation of the Tremor when I tell my wife about it.
