I forgot that the calculation can be changed, I need to do this.

No more stalling on FORSCAN for me ... thanks!
Just make sure you give it a couple tanks to adjust. Mine took about 3-4 before it was reading accurate.

I started tracking my fuel mileage on Fuelly at 800 miles and currently have 12k. The overall average has been 21.1 with a best of 24.4, just achieved on my 1k mile trip to the Smokies. I have an FX4 with bed cover and LT stock size tires.

maybe the the high MPG trucks are diesel? I have never gotten over 22 on my Ranger, really can't believe them getting 26 or 28 MPG, even with Tunes..
Here are my 2022 Tremor stats. If the are getting over 22 average it is probably a 2 wheel drive.

Holy cow! No FORSCAN needed?!?

That's fantastic, thank you for the link.

I'll feel extra accomplished this week, I just did the seatbelt minder hack (not sure yet if it works).

I can't wait to try this, thanks again for the link!
You're welcome! Works well!

I have 285/70-17...my MPH after adjusting Forscan is one over GPS and although not right on, my dash indicated MPG is around 17-18...however, on my BAFX OBD interface, average indicated is 21 MPG...I'm guessing/hoping that the OBD is more accurate as it's using true speed/distance calculation independent of tire size...what do you guys think?

I've never seen an OBDII mpg calc be correct, in any vehicle I've used. It's possible the calculation is closer with BAFX, but I personally wouldn't trust it. A proper speedo and hand calc is the only thing I really trust to be close within a margin of error.

That's a problem with over sized tire...you don't know exactly how far you've traveled since the odometer is now incorrect...that's why I tend to think that true GPS speed can better predict distance independent of tire size...yes? no?

Eh, yes and no, because you're still relying on a not entirely accurate GPS reading if it's a smart device, plus depending on what calculation it uses might interpret some distance data from OBDII.

I just used FORscan to update my tire size and my speedo has been dead on since. I did the mileage adjustment and I'm usually within +/-0.5mpg in the dash vs hand calc.

I did the forscan adjustment too but the table number I got online only got me to within 1mph speedo vs GPS...how did you get it exactly correct for a specific tire size?

I used the actual specs from the manufacturer to get my MM value that I plugged into the calculator instead of trusting its calculation, I ran into that same problem.

18.5 mpg. I am not heavy footed. I got 19.5 in my F-150 3.5 liter and 20.5 in my F-150 2.7 liter. BUT...I can fit this truck easily into most parking spaces!
