Okay I’ve been noticing different tones for my front and rear sensors along with the ignition chime. Mines a 19 Lariat 4x4 SC with just under 13k on the odometer. Yes I know very low mileage, but I’m retired and it really doesn’t go out much. Anyone else experience these different sounds? And might I add the different sounds are not all the time! Thank you in advance

Sometimes it's really high pitched and sounds out of place but normally lower and sounds like they're coming from the speaker...weird...

There are other threads on this subject. It seems to be a symtom of a failing battery.

I understand the mileage thing. I am also retired and just rolled over 13K on my 2020 XLT. When I was (much) younger, I would do that many in about 6 months!

Not in my case...this weird higher pitched ding ding happens once in a while when I first open the door but goes away when I start up....still on original battery 100K miles....

not to derail things but you got the battery to outlast the transmission lol.

Mind does this as well. I haven't figured out a reason or pattern for it. But it seems more likely to happen when I use the remote start.

Yes but I didn’t get the feeling that it’s coming from speakers! I’ll pay more attention tomorrow

Interesting I hadn’t seen anything about battery life, I’ll make sure to look now!

Bad battery. The weird sounding chimes are the backup speaker for when the ACM is booting. The ACM is in full shutdown because the battery reaches a low charge state.

I had mine replaced along with BCM sensor under warranty with 12k miles. Seems like there was a bad batch of batteries in 2020 MY. Auto start/stop wouldn't work because of it and I would get the "Truck has entered low power mode" on the Ford pass app 2-3 minutes after shutting off truck

EDIT: Seems like you don't drive much, might be worth investing in a battery tender. The Ranger batteries are expensive. Check and see if they will warranty it before buying a new battery.

ive noticed when i use googles andriod auto, once in a while the "assistant" voices changes to high pitch silly tone. idk why. does not seem to disrupt the trucks operation.

One of the most coveted jobs on the assembly line was the job of installing the Strange Noise Module. These modules are kept in a crib and there are about 20 different calibrations. The line operator gets to choose which module he/she installs each unit depending on his/her fancy... :)

Moan, Groan, Click, Crunch, Clunk etc.

Best,
Phil

Retired, work is a four letter word.
I turned all of those noise makers off, distracting as hell, only left the 'key in' with door open chime. Love Forscan.

Oddly, today when I got home and was backing up to the garage my normal sensor tone went south. Had a tinny ding sound instead. Out of OCD had to go out and start her up, drive forward and then backup back to garage. Sounds normal now. ? Might have found one of @P. A. Schilke strange noise modules! ?

Rick, Ive had something like that happen a few times over the years with mine too. It's a faint dinging sound almost sounds like someone strangling you and you're gasping for air trying to yell. lol Then it would go back to normal and not happen again for sometime. Strange electric stuff in these trucks!
