2021 Ford Ranger idle clicking

Fyi, purge valve only operates at designated times, not all the time. They are hit with a duty cycle that makes a rhythmic ticking when it’s doing its thing.

The FYI is correct, thanks for the info, but unfortunately it doesn't change the fact the the clicking with a purge valve goes closer to the rhythm of the idle rather than its own timing. Thanks

Mine has done it since new also. Dealer claims can’t duplicate noise but I hear it every time A/C is on.

The one piece drive shaft fixes the back end being too high

You could try a mechanics stethoscope to pinpoint the source of the noise. There is one for $7 on Amazon.
