I had at least 15 Silverado half ton 4x4's while working in the field, and they were good trucks. I had one with variable speed power steering that was bad, and a few of them burned quite a bit of oil, but overall they were dependable comfortable trucks that got beat on pretty hard. I have to say that the new ones ('17-now) are not as good looking IMO, though their midsize trucks look nice. I hope your family enjoys your new toy.

it isnt a bad looking truck. chevy is creeping ever closer to offering round wheel wells. whats up with the rear splash guard mounted in front of the wheel, or am i seeing things?

I’m still figuring that out, but yes I noticed that too!
The wheel wells were close enough to circular for my liking and I’m at 33 inch tires now - just took getting a different truck!

Thanks to everyone for making the forum great.

I love my Ranger, and it’s been a blast, but it just wasn’t the right fit for my family size - currently 3 young kids with boosters and car seats. I had made it work but decided to move up to something larger.

This was my first truck, and I did test drive full-size trucks too back when buying the Ranger, but it just seemed like too much at the time. The Ranger is a great truck, but it’s tight for a family greater than 4.

The painful part of this change will be the gas mileage!

Pictures for those who enjoy -

It’s because Chevrolet knows how easily their trucks get stuck and require that constant D-R-D-R-D-R rocking back and forth to get unstuck.

Kidding - it looks pretty sharp, but did you have to get blue?

The new truck, like the old one, looks great! How's the ride?
Ride is excellent. Planted and hardly feel the shifting. It can also get up and go with the v8 roar when needed. Of course, so does my wallet on gas!

I anticipated more love/hate for the color than for it being a Chevy!

It’s vibrant but looks really nice in person.

I got a great deal on this one in particular. They also had black, but I was hesitant due to how bad black shows dirt and scratches.

Big family needs a big truck. You will get grief for the Chevy.
I really wanted to say something whitty, but I just couldn't come up with anything. It's just a good looking truck. I drive the HD for work. No complaints here.
