No... But I wish I was...

The grill is a more upright version of the taurus... The headlights mimic the wrap around... And the hood... God the good is like a copy and paste. ?
I see it. It's a nice looking front end. Good styling is good styling. The lower grill sides are angled in more on the Taurus, and the Ranger headlight extends below the inflection point on the grille sides. I think that's what the Tremor"nostrils" are keying off of. You're kinda wrong about the hood, tho. The double runner with a central groove makes it look more muscular. At least to me. I like the shape of the grille, and the way the lines carry over below the bumper line.

I have an XL, and I've been studying how to customize the look of the (kinda plain) front grille, etc. and filling in the hole below the bumper without making it look dumb, and been drawing blanks so far. I like the idea of continuing the lines of the grille, but I dunno how exactly. I like look of the silver bash plate, how it mimics the curve of the lower grille, and there's a honeycomb insert available that fits in the lower empty hole pretty nicely. There's very little contrast to bring out any details because it's inset so deeply, it's just black on black. Just wondering if there's a practical (read cheap) way to add just a touch of detail there, something like what is seen on the Taurus with the chrome outlines. But just drawing attention is not good enough. It has to look good, too.

It looks like they went into CAD and said increase height of everything by 20% and tossed into into a taller chassis.

The grill, the headlights, even the body lines are similar. And once you see it, you can't unsee it.
Mostly true. Even the little crease above the headlights. :) But it doesn't make me love the Ranger less. It makes me love the Taurus. I've never even seen one around in traffic.

So after some thought and constant stressing over my Ranger, I ended up getting a Frontier. Not the best time to get a new truck but after considerable thought, I figured it was best to make the switch rather than dumping anymore money or time into the Ranger. I got the Frontier at MSRP and Ranger trade in was very close to what I purchased it at. Frontier was quite a bit more than the Ranger but as the kids these days say YOLO! My wife has been giving me a really weird stare since I got home with the truck. And just last night I had a really weird dream that someone was standing over me with a pillow. Ah I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about ? Anyway, I loved the Ranger but with some of the issues with my particular truck, I needed something I wasn’t constantly worrying about. Hopefully this truck will be solid but as usual time will tell. Anyway I definitely still plan on hanging around this forum, you all are a good group of people and funny as hell. Maybe we can add a Frontier section just for us sellouts to hang around ?

Time to commence with the bashing…I’ll be annoyed if you guys don’t. Oh and btw, these Frontiers have a built in (hidden) tailgate damper.
New truck and a new friend!!!! Now you can hang out with that "too high ass end" guy!!!

So, instead of dumping money on the Ranger, you are going to dump it into the Frontier? You know you will be modding it very soon.

I never understood why some manufacturers do this. Tires and wheels are round and they make them square, to me it looks to disproportional and drives my OCD crazy. But Toyota does it too but it doesn't look at pronounced.

Blue for you know who.

Man this topic moved fast so I’m not sure where It’s at but I would rock a Nissan.
Where's the "NISMO off road" decal come from? That went out in like '08 or so.

On my '06 NISMO that decal is the only thing that never broke and caused yet another visit to the shop.

That's a great color!

That's also the first picture of them where I noticed that it has a bit of a door dip near the mirrors, like an F150.

I always wished Ford had done this with the Ranger too.
Dip by mirrors was started by Kenworth.

Just in case you end up on Jeopardy. ;)

I also have an XL and, as a Texas Longhorn, this is the obvious way to make yours stand out!
And you can get it from Amazon too!

Third image down would be a good look for Soupie!

Wow! That's really nice work! Are you a pro?
It's a Ford Falcon UTE that was made in Australia up until 2016. In the early 2000's I believe you could get the 3.9L V8 in one; the same one that came in the US Lincoln LS and Thunderbird at that time. They had a turbo inline 6 available in the last years. Ford, GM Holden and Toyota stopped making vehicles in OZ in the last decade. Oz Fords are now imported from Thailand, Vietnam and India, but they still operate a R&D center in Mebourne, which is where the 5- and 6G rangers were conceived.
