Not even a PRO4X?! WTH?!?!?!
Nope, Im already over our budget with the SV ?. I will say the Pro 4x and this SV drive identical on pavement. I had a rental pro 2x and comparing it to this truck it’s hard to tell a difference drive wise. The wireless CarPlay the other one had was nice though. I’m sure the 4x suspension rides better off-road however.

Man this topic moved fast so I’m not sure where It’s at but I would rock a Nissan.
we're now discussing how every vehicle ever made looks like a miata.

It looks like they went into CAD and said increase height of everything by 20% and tossed into into a taller chassis.

The grill, the headlights, even the body lines are similar. And once you see it, you can't unsee it.
Kinda but I also liked the last gen Ford Taurus. It didn't sell well for some reason, but the SHO had the 3.5L ecoboost and AWD. Might be nice with a tune and some parts. Like many older Fords they blow water pumps though, stupid plastic water pumps.

id drive a frontier if i could afford the one i like. trouble is not much aftermarket or support for nissian frontiers. I always liked the xterra too.
speaking of the ford look, the 2015 to 2023 mustangs look like a fusion some say... and years back the mustang looked like an escort lol.

Yeah doesn’t seem to be a ton of aftermarket support but I’ve never done anything to upgrade my other trucks. The Frontier seems to be a little smoother than the Ranger so I don’t feel the need to upgrade anything. I will have global leaf springs and the Bilstein coilovers and shocks to sell. I was planning on putting those on the Ranger but no need for them now.

I owned a 2007 Frontier, then a 2017 Frontier and enjoyed them both. Very reliable vehicles. But we had to move up to the Ranger because Frontier had terrible payload capacity for towing. The Ranger’s boxed frame and 10 speed transmission make towing way more enjoyable.

So after some thought and constant stressing over my Ranger, I ended up getting a Frontier. Not the best time to get a new truck but after considerable thought, I figured it was best to make the switch rather than dumping anymore money or time into the Ranger. I got the Frontier at MSRP and Ranger trade in was very close to what I purchased it at. Frontier was quite a bit more than the Ranger but as the kids these days say YOLO! My wife has been giving me a really weird stare since I got home with the truck. And just last night I had a really weird dream that someone was standing over me with a pillow. Ah I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about ? Anyway, I loved the Ranger but with some of the issues with my particular truck, I needed something I wasn’t constantly worrying about. Hopefully this truck will be solid but as usual time will tell. Anyway I definitely still plan on hanging around this forum, you all are a good group of people and funny as hell. Maybe we can add a Frontier section just for us sellouts to hang around ?

Time to commence with the bashing…I’ll be annoyed if you guys don’t. Oh and btw, these Frontiers have a built in (hidden) tailgate damper.
Not sure about the new Gen Frontier but my 09 4 banger Frontier still drives well. Test drove the new Frontier last year but did not bite. They should be built well but fell slow coming from Ranger

When you start having dreams about someone standing over you with a tailgate damper cartridge, then you should start worrying!

Shane,

Congrats on the new truck. Hope it works out well for you. Surprised Dave didn't mention that 303 is compatible with Nissan paint to keep his commission rate.
? well this window sticker said “premium paint” so maybe I’ll have to have Dave send me some 303 to test out. Gotta keep the “premium paint” looking good.

Definitely slower but I’ve never really needed anything fast. If I ever did tow with this it would be a small fishing boat. I’m also kinda relieved it’s slower however, so that when my kid get its one day he will be less likely to speed. Oh who am I kidding, all kids are idiots. They seek out ways to do dumb stuff, even in slower vehicles. ?

What happened with your ranger?
My boss bought a Frontier after her explorer kept shitting itself each time the dealer worked on it. So far she likes it.

GFs dad had any early 2000s Frontier he ran the tar out of, said regular maintenance and the usual replacement parts was it. Gave it to her son as his first vehicle and he wrecked it.
